I thought the movie was just too cute.
It's the story of a young girl who moves to NYC to become a journalist but finds herself working as an assistant for a top notch fashion magazine, which is way out of her style league. The girl is a go-getter so she does what she has to do to make it work and ends up becoming the right hand woman to the editor and chief changing her life forever.
The movie is definitely a feel-good and has you leaving the theater with a smile and a bit more confidence in your walk. I absolutely recommend it and apologize for not giving more details, but it's too good and I don't want to ruin it for anyone!
Also, for you guys... a lot of males were at the special showing and I heard a few say they surprisingly liked it so if you're looking for a nice date or a surprise for your loved one, it's a good pick!

I loved it but the ending is somewhat lacking in force. Of course I enjoyed the subtext that left a lingering impression on me.

i absolutely agree with you.Though she works as a assistant for a notch fashion magazine,and that is out of her style league. She just try her best to bring her work to success. Like many undergraduates,they choose what they don't like major which is popular in the society. Alhough they have no interest in learning it,they have to study hard so as to successfully graduate . the leading actor also don't like her job originaly,but she try to like the job ,she buy many name brand clothes and eat potato with her boy friend for a week. At the end, she successfully get along well with her job and ultimately she become the right hand woman to the editor. yes,i want to say ,you may choose something you don't like ,don't feel depression.you can try to like it ,and finally you will do well with it . Believe your own capacity ,and you will success.

I LOVE LOVE THIS MOVIE!!! I can`t get over it... I love the way Meryl Streep portrays the editor... a readl devil... I also love watching the clothes and the bags and shoes.... soooooo fab!!!

i absolutely agree with you!I love this cute film,and saw it twice! Meryl streep is my favourite actress,and anne hathaway too!I just love a journalist fettering in fashion world and try to break it.
