hi RedCore, well i have two computers, one is a desktop PC and the other one is a laptop..i have AMD processor in my desktop and Intel core solo processor in my laptop..well my opinion is a bit different from you as i have found Intel to be working better than AMD..i got both of them at the same time with a little difference of 10-15 days between their purchase..but AMD processor is a bit slow than intel and sometimes my desktop also starts slowly and closes slowly and when i asked a computer mechanic about it even he told me that AMD works a bit slower..may be the AMD processor available in our country is not that fast as is in your place..I have always found Intel better and now i am thinking to upgrade my PC's processor to duo core from Intel..

i have both AMD and Intel processor... i use my AMD PC only for games and other stuff that needs speed power and i use my intel processor PC for all of my important things. Intel for stability and AMD for speed but both perform very well

i am having intel pentium-4 processor.i have heard about AMD but i think its not available here or may intel is in its boom here.so i find intel in everybody's pc configuration here in india rather than AMD.and mostly intel is preferred here over AMD.
i trust intel and its good.now intel core dual processor is taking the place in market and i am thinking of upgrading my pc with it.

I got an Intel E6600, it seems to be well worth its price tag, but it really isn't a question of which processor to buy, Also computer hardware isn't a good investment, like cellphones they age so fast and your investment devaluates so fast.
But if you were to ask me which do i prefer I'd go with intel, based on the performance/price ratio they have today, it beats AMD by a significant margin.

well, my current pc which celebrated his 5 years birthday in august 1st has a 2.0 Ghz pentium Iv processor (which is of course intels). I am about to purchase a new pc though, with a much more powerful intel processor (intel core 2 duo e6750 2.66 ghz). My older brother who works in the field of computers advices me to purchase only intel based computers.
