I mind a little if my boy friend is addicted to smoking.I don't mind whether he can smoking, but I do mind he is addicted to smoking.
Nearly all my male friends think that they don't like girls smoking in front of them.

I am a former smoker, so i thik I would understand the person if she's smoking. That's not a big deal for me, because I know that she might change if we could still be around with each other. I might help her, share her some tips if she decides to stop it.

Sure, I'd be glad to!;)
First, he has to be ready -both mental and physical. Otherwise, the effort would be worthless if he doesn't have the will to help himself. You're husband has to stay focus, motivate and support him. I believe that everything are all just in the mind, so it's really up to him he wants to help himself and get rid of his smoking habits..

It's hard since I have been a smoker in the past so I don't feel like I have the right to judge someone for smoking. I guess it depends if you can suck it up and don't mind being around smoke. It's some people who don't smoke but can be around it and it's others who hate the smell. It just depends because smoking is something that can be stopped. If that person has other good qualities about him or her, I wouldn't throw them off just because they smoke because that could change.

you're right.my hubby has a lot of good qualities than his downside which is smoking :) but i still can't stand with the smell,so we have an agreement that he can't smoke if he near me and i limit him about how much he can smoke p/day.
thanks ranitam22 for your response :)

Well that all depends on what I think of the girl that smokes. If I really like her then I would and hopefully I can try to get her to quit smoking even though a lot of girls I know that smoke are trying to quit but just not having any luck with it. but what I would be affraid of is if the girl pressures me to start smoking and if she ever did I would dump her on the spot.

you never know who will your date-partner. If there's any chance you will find the real love who smokes, think and choose:
1. you will be on the date and if it will real love he / she will finish smoking because he / she loves you.
2. you will call him / her back and tell: forget the date.
I'm sure 99% you will not tell him / her, you delete the date because he / she smoking.
Leave the preconceptions.

Smoking is a habit. If you are not a smoker and your girlfriend is one what is wrong in that. Being two different individuals you will be having different habits also.
Does she eat the same way as you do or does she smile the same way as you do? You have to bear up with that. But You can advise her to give up the habit

I quit smoking over a year ago.
my BF he does still smoke, refuses to quit.
it gets on my last nerve because he has no respect for me or anyone else.
I want him to smoke outside but he dont. I'd like for him to smoke away from me so I wont be tempted but he dont.
sometimes it just bothers me more then others lol..

Honestly, I dated a smoker in the past. I didn't like it, to be real frank. It really is like "kissing an ashtray." That is just my own personal preference. If I really like the person, then it is something that I can get around, but it was just something that I had to work on first. I happened to get lucky enough to find a wife that didn't smoke because it just takes away another potential complication. To each his (or her) own, I guess...

If you like that girl/guy, i think it would not matter. It even better that you date him/her. That's what i will do. I will try to get to know her better and try to get myself into her life. From there, i will try slowly influence her to quit smoking. At least i try to help her, advice her.
