Does anyone have chronic pleurisy with their copd? I have it, but rarely cough. I only have the pain. Does anyone know how to deal with the pain? I've tied pain relievers. but that doesn't help. Any ideas would be very helpful.

I also have problems with this though I havent had much luck with the pain, sometimes i will take the cough medicine with codine that my doctor prescribed for me. my copd has gotten a lot worse this summer, so I have had alot of problems even when I dont have a cough, I still have the chest pains, the shortness of breath and a couple of times I even stopped breathing.

I'm sorry to here you have gotten worse, hopefully it's just temporary. I have been extremely lucky. I haven't even had a cold since I was diagnosed. I think living in MS with the warmer climate has a lot to do with it. I use to live in Southern Illinois and was sick all winter long. With the heat and humidity here in MS I've had to stay in this summer. Go outside and I immediately have a hard time breathing.

the humidity here had defenatly made it much worse, but it has been quite a bit cooler this past week so I am doing much better. I also look things up on yahoo health and webmd sometimes I can find tips on there.
