Has anybody ever hit a fatality?

I was playing the 3 Mortal Kombat games and the one thing I've never been able to connect with is a fatality. For some reason, it's just so difficult and was never sure what buttons to push exactly. I've played Mortal Kombat on PC and it has some combination and it's more or less a bunch of guessing buttons.
That was one of the things that used to get on my nerves. The only area I can get a fatality is knocking my opponent into the pit and I've never faced Reptile in that game to get that.
Mortal Kombat 2 no matter what I never got a fatality. I got the Genesis version on it so I'm trying to figure that out.
Mortal Kombat 3 is the same story as above.
It's not with one character, it's with everyone. Anybody been able to connect with a fatality? Just wondered that and how many times did it take to get it right?

Haven't had a chance to really play Mortal Kombat 4 in depth. I don't own it and same goes for the other two games. I haven't had a chance to play those Mortal Kombat games to connect with a fatality.

Thanks. That should do the trick for Sub Zero. He's one character I have used on more than one occasion for the game itself. I will keep that in mind when I play and I haven't in a while. Been busy or something to respond to everything.

It is very difficult to hit fatalities in a PC. The layout of the buttons is not at all favorable for playing such games. Thats why I prefer playing Mortal Kombat on the PS2(I last played MK:Shaolin Monks)... Actually, even I don't always remember the various key combinations. I have a list of moves printed from a gaming website which shows the various fatalities, brutalities and multalities. This I keep on my lap while playing. But the main reason that I am able to connect with a fatality is the great game controller of the PS2.

is not so difficult, s just a sequence of buttons that you hit. You have to focus in that button you hit that button and it remains to this button MK I've played all my life and I have every fatality, babality, animality, friendship, and everything else without problems .. I think that number about 1000 so far .. keep trying

I'm not going to lie. I've been playing the Mortal Kombat games since the original back on the SNES in the early 90s. I have never been able to purposely do fatalities (meaning that the only times were by accident) in any of the Mortal Kombat games except one. The only Mortal Kombat game I have ever been able to do the fatalities in without problem is Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. Other times I've gotten lucky if I was able to pull them off.

You just need to practice.. when i was like 10, i already it fatalities with ease. But that's because i played the game for hours and usually try and try again. You just need to practice to push the buttons over and over again before trying it in a game. You'll get to hit one in time.

I landed them but not often haha. I had like a big list with all of the different fatalities on it so it made it much easier. I seemed to either time it wrong or mess up the majority of the time though. Nothing better then playing against a friend and busting out a fatality at the end =P

I pulled off a Fatality once in the original Mortal Kombat. I still have no idea how I managed to do it.
Have you tried GameFAQS.com? They should have lists of the right buttons to push/distance you need to be for most of the games.
A lot of people dislike the Fatalities in MK: Armageddon, but it's pretty much my only hope for finishing moves.
