Hi, for trial version, you can try Kaspersky antivirus at www.kaspersky.com. After downloading, update it first then scan your machine thoroughly and see if it finds any suspicious file or malwares. Allow it to quarantine whatever it finds. Since, you internet speed runs slower, scan your machine with an antispyware. You can try superantispyware at www.superantispyware.com See if it finds malwares and allow it to quarantine.
If still no success, you can visit www.bleepingcomputer.com and/or www.geekstogo.com, where you can contact one of the HJT experts there to help solve your problem. Just be sure that you have to follow all the instructions given to you.
Hope, this will help to you in anyway.
Have a nice day!
Regards,

Other than buying Norton or McAfee, there are several free ones available. I use AVG on my desktop and have heard ever from computer professionals that it is pretty good. Spyware Doctor is also good for removing spyware. They take some time to run but can really help. AVG also has an antispyware, but I have heard the Spyware Doctor is better.
AVG is here http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/
Spyware Doctor http://www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor/
Good luck!
