Who tends your gardens? yourself or the hired gardener?

Do you do all your own gardening, or do you call up a gardener and get them to come around and do it all for you? I personally love gardens and prefer to tend to them myself... Post up and have a great day... Thanks...

We tend our own garden; we have a very large vegetable garden this year. Half the fun of gardening is tending it; the other half is harvesting for us. :-)

I don't have a huge yard, so I do my own. I have a small area for vegetables, and a small area for flower in the back yard. In the front, along the side of the house, I plant perenial flowers such as gladiola, and others. I like to take care of these areas by myself. Although if I have money, I would hire a landscapper to design it better, but maintaining it would still be me.

My parents are the one's busy tending our garden, they love planting to spend a little time and for them to do something worth the waste!;) But sometimes I am the one's who just trim the grass, like lawn-mowing minus the lawn-mower!LoL It's like an excercise for me, besides, our lawn is not that big to have someone to take care of it or use a machine to mow it. I am also liking the ecosystem that is happening around our garden, as I see insects and soon-to-be butterflies hanging on some of our plants.

Dear Nardz13, We have about 14 flower pots through which we grow flowers for our daily Puja (Prayer to God). We ourselves tend the flowers pots. We have a maid servant who water every day for the flowers pots. We are living in an apartment therefore we grow the flowers on our terrace. There are more than 100 flowers pots are there. We all apartment people share the space in terrace for growing flowers.

Hi there. LOL, My grandmothers so protective of her plants and gardens, she watches everything and wont even give me a slip of anything lol... All good though, I know how hard she works to keep her gardens looking beautiful and tidy, that one could have a wedding in them, which she will never let happen in her lifetime for anyone LOL... Thanks for responding...

I have a large backyard and a good sized front yard. I do my own gardening e=very year. I plant a wide variety of vegetables each year. I also have many flower beds in both the front and back that I tend to. It's basically a non-stop chore for me. I will be online all day as I stay at home and am my fathers caregiver. I do not work other than taking care of dad. So I have a lot of time to garden. I run in and out of the house doing chores like weeding, watering, and picking on and off all day long. In the winter I am lost without the gradening chores. Just snow shoveling. Ugghh! HAHAHA. Thanks and have a great day/evening as well.Check my page to see a LOT of discussions revolving around my flower beds and garden. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I do my own gardening. We cannot afford a gardener, although we did have help from the local nursery as to what plants to plant in front of our house. Boy was he a great help. They grew like weeds! As for our garden, I do have a strawberry and raspberry patch. My husband put the old garden into grass. I was on the computer trying to make money that I needed, but he did not understand.

Hello Nardz. I do my own gardening because for one, my garden is my haven when I need to have some time of my own. Free from being a mom and wife for just awhile. And second, my garden isn't that large to hire a gardener. I try to keep up with the weeds though. But now that it's rainy season here in my country, I have no choice but to wait for a break of sunshine to cut the grass. I also have give special attention to my white roses. Roses have always been my greatest frustration. I've already bought so many of them but they always die and wither on me. So,I'm hoping that what I have now won't die on me, too.
