i'm so excited. as some of you know i decided to go back to college to finish my course in museum studies. my schedule works out that i'm home with my daughter after school every day but tuesday so i'm glad about that. anyway i also have a one day a week placement to do. and i just fouund out i got into the first museum i applied to which is close to home. for school i have to travel an hour and a half so to get into one of few local museums here was great for me. also i have another special independent project to do with another museum. i contacted the museum but it closes in sept. but the person in charge asked me to be her partner to open up a new museum from scratch that will open in a year. i'm so happy. my professor told me that that was the best oportunity anyone has ever gotten.

Wow, it seems like things are turning around for you. I could not be happier, I know how hard it is to get all of those ducks lined up and then stay that way.
I guess we won't be hearing from you much anymore, but we would like some regular updates and you will have to post a copy of your grades, cause us myLot Mom's expect to see good grades. ;-)

i'm sure when i need a break from all my work i'll post a few updates. i'll definately keep everyone updated on what i'm doing at the museum cause i'm so excited about that

It sounds like you are doing very well. To think just a few months ago you were down because of the ex. NOw you have much to look forward too. Working with a museum sounds like more fun than work. The other great thing is that you will not be away from your daughter as much as you thought. Just remember that the quantity of time is not what is important but the quality of the time you do spend with your little girl. I worked full time when my daughter was you and we had very little time together. However, when we were together not a moment was wasted. We went places and played games and just talked about her day and what she has been doing. Children love to tell about their day at school or at play and they love when we actually listen to them.
I remember once when I was sick and in bed. My daughter came to me and told me to read her a story but I was just too sick. I told her mommy is sick and very tired. She said that is fine I will read to you. She sat on her dads side of the bed and read me a story. I do not remember the story because I did fall asleep. My husband said my little girl pulled the blanket up around my shoulders and kissed me on the forhead. I told him that is how I treat her so I guess she figured it was her turn to take care of mommy. Kids are great.

that's sweet, my daughter does the same, she tries to take care of me when i'm not feeling good. she'll rub me and say you'll be allright soon mom, don't worry. it's so sweet.

That's good that you went back to college to finish the course. Museum studies sounds interesting. Opening up a museum from scratch does sound like a great opportunity. Glad to hear everything is working out for you. Things are going good for me too. I just moved into a house that's not in a bad neighborhood and reasonable on rent, I also got a nice tv and loveseat/couch. I'm really happy that everything is coming together finally. Oh yea and I have a washer and dryer. It was already here when we moved in last week. Extremely happy about that since I used to have to go to the laundry all the time which I hated.

I'm so glad that you're happy with where you're headed in life. It is very easy to be disheartened when things go wrong and it's easy to get snowed under with life. I myself have been in a rut with my job for quite a few years. I have certain issues that have prevented me from going ahead with my life and now that I am seeing someone about it I have organised to start studying in October and hopefully get me out of this job that I'm so over! Congratulations with your great oppportunity, I hope you make the most of it.
