Again? Still? Oh come on! Please?

Well I woke up this morning hoping to be a busy old fart here doing responding and adding comments to those who responded to my discussions. But alas....Once again, or should I say STILL?...it seems this dang email glitch has hit me again. I had a total of 5 emails of new discussions started from friends. That's five. That's from 300 friends? This is unreal. They pay drops drastically then the emails don't come. Absolutely ridiculous. Oh well seems I will have to surf around to earn my pennies today. Are any of you still having thie email glitch occuring? I am once again going to write admin and see if they care enough to repair this thing. Seems there ought to be just a button for them to click as this particualr glitch occurs all too often to many members. I hope most my friends aren't having this problem.

Sorry you are having that problem Grandpa Bob! I have to tell you I have been having the same problem for over a week! I have only found this post because I have been trawling through 'discussions my friends started'! Lets hope this gets sorted soon! xxx

Yeah let's hope real soon. This is the main glitch that happens all too often. In actuality I think this has been a non stop glitch for some meber somewhere. It's been happening on & off for me for the time I've been a member anyhow. Makes one wonder huh? HAHAHAHA!1

Write to mylot and make them aware of it my Friend did today and they responded to her straight away they are aware of the Glitch and working on it they have told her
I am just surprised that some Members have the Problem and others don't as mine seems to be ok

Well seems a tad better as now after being gone for
about 4 hours I have 48 new notifications. So it seems
fixed somewhat for the time at least.

i WROTE AND GOT THE STANDARD FORM LETTER ABOUT WOPRKING ON IT, PATIENCE, TAKES TIME, ETC ETC. gRRRRR

I dont´t know. I do keep all my alerts off and instead go to the section "discussions my friends started" since i find that way easier than going through hundreds of mails every week =)
I have heard others talk about this though and Mylot really should fix it if some people "suffer" from it.

I have been responding etc from the email option since I've been a member. I am used to it and quite sufficient that way as well. I prefer to keep doing it this way. I just don't earn as much when I have to surf around but under these glitches actions seems I have no other choice right now. HAHAHA! Off I go searching & surfing then.

The email thing has been happening to me as well. For the past week or so I have only received maybe 2-4 email notifications a day, if that, yet there should be so much more. I have yet to email MyLot admin myself. I'll do it later today (if I remember :P), though I don't know if it will do any good. So I'll just keep on searching to earn my pennies too (sigh).

Well I received an email back from the staff at MyLot. They apologized for the inconvenience, they are working on the problem, and asked us to be patient. Basically the same response as what others have gotten. I'll say one thing, they were prompt at replying back at least. Now lets see if thing gets fixed once and for all...

I am noticing a email glitch as well I had hardly any emails from mylot yesterday and they all came through today I usually check my discussions anyways but still it's difficult not to know who has responded to you on their discussion without going through all of them...

oNCE BEFORE WHEN THIS HAPPENED TO ME AND ADMIN. REPAIRED IT, i GOT EMAILS UP THE YING YANG FOR DAYS AFTERWARDS. sOME WERE 3 DAYS OLD TOO. haha

I've been getting e-mails responding to my posts quite frequently, but still the amount I'm earning is dropping. It seems like the more I post the less I get for each post. Oddly enough not many of my friends have been posting new discussions for me to reply to. Oh well, guess I'll have to go out and find more friends.

I turned notify off for my friends (sorry y'all if I miss your posts!) because I couldn't keep up.
Before i did though, I noticed that my email spam filter (yahoo) had been moving all the mylot notifications to the junk folder. Perhaps this is where your problem lies?

This is really getting nowhere grandpa, I believe that mylot admin owe's us an explanation about this now. If someone's taking care of this site, then I guess none of this irregularities/glitches would happen.
It's getting "too much" already, of what we all thought would just be a "few." This is somehow alarming me, I don't see any updates or even alerts received coming from the admin.

You are not alone. Mine is a little better than it was. When the glitch first startedI was lucky if one e-mail got through in a day, now I'm getting several a day...still not what it should be but better. The biggest problem I'm having with the ones that do get through is that there is a HUGE delay for at least half of them. Sometimes it as taken a FULL DAY or TWO for a notification to come through. That seems a bit extreme. They could have just mailed me a letter about it and it wouldn't have taken much longer.

I think the email bug is spreading, bob! My emails have dimished quite rapidly as well. When I do get a response, the discussion is already 3 or 4 days old! (sigh) maybe mylot is getting too big for its britches. What do you think? LOL!

I've seen a few people complaining about the myLot e-mails, but I've never experienced any problems so far. But do you have notifies on for 300 friends!? How can you magange to deal with so many e-mails? That's a lot, you know? Hahaha!
I have only a few friends with notifies on, otherwise I'd probably check everything and delete without opening them. I know myself enough not to do that then. :)

I have the notify on for all 300. I usually get around 450 and up emails daily. I am online all day long and by the time I get to bed at 5 a.m. I am mostly caught up. But seems some are still here as you are answering this. Hopefully you got an email about it as I am not getting as many as I usually do every day.

I no longer receive emails for responses or new posts, as I find this takes too much room up and I hate filtering through them, but I'm wondering:
you said that the pay has dropped drastically? do you mean the amount that mylot pays per post etc?

Hey there! I'm new to MyLot and I was reading a post you had answered on a totally different topic when I ran across this one and had a question.
You had mentioned that you get notifications on posts that other people leave you...does that mean you get paid for those posts?
One of the main reasons I joined MyLot was for the extra money. I realize it's not a whole lot, but it's rainy day money, I suppose you could say. I wouldn't mind having 300 friends if it gives me a little extra money and helps me buy those shoes I've been eyeing at the mall, lol.
Could you explain, to me, how this thing works?
Also, you had mentioned, in another post, that you are a friend of Bill W. so I just wanted to say that I am too...it's nice to meet another friend of a friend. *waves*

Well Hello fellow friend of Bill W. I answer a lot of posts. We get paid for starting discussions and responding to other discussions here. The rate varies greatly. Noone is able to figure exactly how much it is though. Mylot keeps the pay deal a secret. So it's hard to explain at all. Just read all the guidelines and wheat not here to learn more. If you wish add me as a friend and I'll accept. I would be glad to be a start of your list of 300 soon to be friends. I am in Minnesota by the way. Thanks for the response as well and have fun. After you add me PM me with any questions and I'll try to answer them or direct you to where you can get the answer I hope.

I know the feeling webeishere I also still am not getting all my e-mails I get about 5 a day it still isn't fixed.. so I roam around on mylot hoping to find a post I haven't replied to yet... This is so annoying it's not even funny! Hopefully soon enough it will be fixed if not I will keep searching for new posts...

I have had days where several hours will go by without a single notification in my email, and then BOOM! All of a sudden, they start popping up again. It gets aggravating sometimes. I like to say that it's the "Glitch Monster" that is doing it to all of us, and he's getting hungry again! Hahahahaha

I wrote to the Mylot administrators about a similar situation about 4 days ago.I got a responce today stating that they were working out various glitches within the sytem and they would appreciate us having patience during this time.

I've been getting a healthy stream of emails... i think sometimes people post more during certain times of the month and less at other times.
i guess there might be a problem since it can't be that all your friends are not posting. unless you were up really late, when they had most stopped and woke up really early when the rest of the mylotters were still snoozing! so only your friends on other time zones were awake to post discussions! whaddya think?
