Went to the hospital for a sore throat and ended up in ICU on life support three hours later. The diagnosis was an anaphylactic reaction of Penicillin and Codeine it changed my life. I had to learn how to walk, talk and everything allover again. Spent one week in a coma and the other week rehabbing from the adverse drug interaction. You really don't know how blessed you are until something like this happens to you. Be very aware if you or someone you know have drug allergies. Even if you have taken Penicillin in the past you could still have an adverse reaction later in life. I have taken Penicillin in the past without adverse reaction until now.
