I just found out my father has emphysema

I just found this afternoon that my father has emphysema. He has never smoked, but he lived most of his life in an area of high pollution. He is very stubborn and has always refused to change his dietary habits although that very well could have prevented this or reduced its symptoms.
He had non-Hodgkins lymphoma about a couple years or so ago, and now he has this.

I'm wishing him the best and you too. With your CP issues it is hard for you to know his health is not so great, either. I hope he does what he needs to to keep the emphysema from getting worse.

You're welcome. CP is Chronic Pain and those who have it are CP'ers or Painiacs. There's lots of ways to be one and it's a group no one wants to be in but all CP'ers are forced to be in, as you know. No choice about it.
The more we get people out of the group of CP'ers the better. The less CP'ers that are created by whatever means, the better.

Exactly. Well, I am hoping that my CP will soon be history, as these years of back pain from the previously-undiagnosed back injury come to an end. I woudn't wish this on anyone. It's sad that so many people have CP for whatever reason. It is a miserable existence.
