What is your age when you first wear spectacles?

I was 25 when I first had to get glasses and now I'm nearly 40, so I have beaten your 13 years by a little. I was a lot older than other people I know when I first got glasses and I think that computer use is partially to blame. I had been working a job when I sat at a computer and keyed in information a big part of each day, and this was before there was a lot of information out there about taking care of your eyes when you're on the computer a lot.

i was about 9 or 10 also...and last year my daughter got glasses at age 9 also. with all the cool frames out there now, it doesnt matter if you wear glasses or not.

40. If you haven't needed glasses before 40, you are most likely going to need them then. That seems to be the turning point in life. Everything starts to go. LOL! I got them when I was 40. This year I had to go and get an upgrade because I wasn't seeing very well with my reading glasses anymore. I only need them for reading but I got a huge jump in prescription last month. I'm 44 now.

When I started surfing the net, about 6 years ago, I had my eyes checked up by an ophthalmologist and recommended me to wear spectacles. I was then 45 years old when I began wearing my eyeglasses. I was said to be nearsighted with astigmatism on my left eye. I had to wear something like a correcting eyeglasses until now. I always do wear them when I am in front of my PC for I can't read the small characters while typing this discussion. LOL.

I was in grade 10 so around 15..We always knew it was going to happen, I couldn't imagine not having them now!

I wear the spectacles on the age of around 19 becauese of the short sight. I really regret that I didn't protect my eyes .I found very unconvenient wearing the glass...
