do you change price tags in clothing stores to get a cheaper price?

You'd be surprised how many people do. I worked in a clothing store for about 3 years and we had lots of things that went on clearance. The only thing that separated the clearance from the regular price was a stick on sticker like most stores that i sometimes saw people tearing at to put onto an item that was regular price. I had never seen anything like it. It was all different ages and colors of people who did this and I'm sure still do. i always thought when you go to the store, you look, browse, maybe try on, then either buy it or don't. I learned that this is a crime and you could go to jail for doing this. What are your feelings on this?

No, I would never do such a thing, to me it is just the same as stealing. I don't know if you can get arrested for it, they might ban you from the store or something.

yes it is stealing and you can get arrested and banned from the store, it just doesn't make sense to me.

That's good. More needs to be done about people stealing, it just doesn't make sense to me.

It is pretty much shoplifting just in a different way because you are actually paying for part of the shirt and stealing the extra couple dollars.

Wow, I've never even really thought about doing that. Not that I would. I would feel far too guilty and probably end up taking the item back! What some people will do to save a few dollars...

me too, i would feel like someone would see me and take me to jail on the spot. It's just not worth the jailtime or humiliation just to save a couple dollars.
