Does GOD care what happens on Big Brother?

For the last few weeks, Jameka and Amber have been claiming GOD is helping them by giving them visions OR GOD is purposely putting them into the POV competition b/c they are supposed to help the other players, or GOD wants them to do this and that. You know what, I am religious, but I don't buy it. I don't believe GOD would help one player over another (that seems very un-godlike if you ask me). Please keep this topic light and airy (not trying to start a religious debate or question the existence of god) just trying to discuss this as if god is there and god has the ability to mess with things, regardless of if you think he's real or not.. So, do you think GOD would interfere in a game such as this? Or do you think GOD would let it play out and see what people do?? Maybe the devil would tempt someone to see if they lie, but GOD wouldn't try to help you win. GOD may help you feel good, or stop yourself from doing something stupid, but I don't believe GOD would help a person win money in a game. Thoughts??? Remember - light and airy, no religious debate.

You know, someone left a soccer tournament to go to church in between games and we told them to pray for a win. They're brilliant comment was, "I think God has better things to do." I actually spoke to my daughter about this during BB tonight and I said I don't think God would approve of someone going into the Big Brother House to begin with. Putting yourself into a competition for money overall seems un-Christian like to me. Not that I wouldn't do it (but I wouldn't because I couldn't handle it emotionally). I think He would think your time is better spent working for God and/or helping people in need. I'm not saying He wouldn't approve of good healthy competition (like a soccer game), but when it comes to a game where you have to be nasty and lie and be mean to people and put yourself in difficult positions with other people, He is not going to help you out. Go ahead, play the game but you're on your own. God has better things to do than to help you win a stinkin' Veto competition. Hurricane Dean needs God's help.

Yep good points all around. God would probably view this show as teaching people to lie, cheat and steal! I'm sure he wouldn't help people do that, or win any sport for that matter. What happens when 2 opposing teams are praying to God? Do they think God picks their favorite?

I meant does he pick HIS favorite, not their favorite.

I think that GOD gives everyone a path to take and I feel that they were meant to be on the game & that whoever wins was meant to win, but I don't think that he is helping Jameka or Amber win POV or giving them visions to help them win. I think they are stretching that big time

Right. He may be having fun watching (if He has the time), but He is not helping them.

Yeah that is a good argument. He may already know who the winner will be, but he's not out to guide them to the goal!

No, I don't think God would get involved in this contest. He's more of a Saving Grace TV watcher, if you ask me.

I have thought a lot about this. First I think Jameka has done more to mock GOD than anything. But I don't know if God would even approve of a game like this. I know that it would be against my religion (if I were still practising it) to even enter a contest like this! So I think God wouldn't even try to be there. And no God wouldn't help anyone win money!

Personally, I think that God has bigger things to deal with than play Big Brother. He's playing his own game...Big Father! I do think if you pray, God can have a hand in helping things stay good in your life, but as far as him pushing the game of Big Brother in one players direction, more than another...I don't think so. God is fair, and how would that be fair if they were both praying for help from him, and he only helped one of them??

Exactly what I was thinking, it would not be fair!

As I said to your other comment... The God thing is more annoying to me than the Amber Cry Baby thing. I think it's ridiculous that they both keep bringing God into the game that way. It's really wrong of them actually. That's really all I'm going to say about it. It's wrong that they bring God into the game the way that they do...like he's controlling everything and he's sending them signals and la dee da!
