i'm 23, i'm not sure if thats considered a young mom anymore since some girls have children in high school. Its a change but not a bad one. I dont really get to go out anymore, but thats ok, i would rather spend time with my 5 month old son.

I'm sure your baby's better company than most people you'd meet in a bar!

I am not a young mom, but I do know plenty of them. I feel bad for girls that decide to take that route. I think people should hold off on having children until at least the age of 21. I know this is still young, but my cousin had her boy at 19. This was when she was just beginning to experience life, young adulthood. Know she has to make the decision, to be a grown up, or a crappy mom. Honestly she goes back and forth, at least her baby has people to take care of him when she wants to be young.
Kids should not raise kids, or babies raising babies. I just think that most times the relationship wont work out, and you loose out on "me" time, or you dont and the baby suffers.
Now dont get me wrong, I have met some wonderful women that got married right out of high school, and have been married for 15 years with wonderful, happy children.
I just think its better for young women to live a little before trying to have a child, especially if the father wont be around anyways.
I think I went a little off topic. So I am not a young mom, but I do know plenty of them!

I;m now 27 , but when I had my daughter I was 18 though I looked more like 16. It really wasnt too hard for me. The main problem I had was with the way people would treat me, like I had no idea how to care for my child. People need to realize that not all young moms are irresponsible. Sgure there are some that are not the greatest but most are actually pretty good mom's.

I'm a mom to 2 beautiful kids. I had my son while I was still in high school, and got married and had our daughter by the age of 19. I love it. This is the life I've always dreamed of and my kids and husband mean more than anything in the world to me.
