Confused about Squall

Where to start? How long do you think Laguna knew that Squall was his son? I know in the game, after Kiros told Squall that it was a good thing Squall looks like his mother, then Laguna said that they had a lot to talk about. Did Laguna just know that Squall was his after he saw Squall in his office? Or maybe Laguna knew about Squall when he went to Edea's orphanage to see Ellone? Edea could have told Laguna but Laguna decided to go save Ellone before going back for Squall? So many questions that I've opened up after thinking about that lol.

Yeah, those events in Laguna's office took place on the third or fourth disk. I think it was after Squall went out into space to get Ellone. Then again it could have been before he went into space. I don't remember which one it was lol, it's been a while since I played the game.
