has anyone read any book from Anne Rice? i first read Queen of the Damned...but i could hardly identify the other characters mentioned...so, i next read Interview with the Vampire followed by The Vampire Lestat...it was a blast...i couldn't even put the book down...

Oh yeah! I LOVE Anne RIce. And Queen of the Damned was also a good movie, if you have not seen it yet?
But my favourite book of hers is still the Mayfair Witches! Check it out!

Anne Rice is my favorite author. She makes use of romantic words that gives you that dark, ethereal, yet sweet feeling.
I especially loved Memnoch the Devil and Pandora...but she has a good book that's not part of the Vampire Chronicles which is Pandora. That really moved me :D

I've read up to the tale of the body thief in her vampire chronicles. I've read the first couple in her Witching Hour series (which the first book Witching Hour is by far my favorite book by her. Long but very good!)
I've also read her Sleeping Beauty trilogy. I'm going to try to finish up the vampire series and the witch series.

Im so glad to see another fan. I read the all Vampire Cronicles (but before the movies) and I felt that way about them to couldn't put them down :). It is good that you started back at the begining they are a better read and yes easier to identify that way..enjoy

I love Ann rice and her witching hour series about the Mayfair witches . You should read those too .

I love Anne Rice. I've read all her Vampire series and her Witching HOur series.... Some of her other books are a bit... odd. Cry to Heaven was good but I didn't care for the guy on guy action in it... I just don't want to have that kind of descriptions going through my minds eye.

The vampire chronicle series is huge.. though it ended. You should have started out with interview of the vampire first, then the vampire lestat, then only you should have read Queen of the damned. After QOTD, there's tale of the body thief and memnoch the devil. ( I love memnoch the devil a lot) Then there's the vampire armand, merrick, blood and gold, blackwood farm, the last one, the blood canticle. Then there's the new tales which have the vampires pandora (Marius' lover) and vittorio. I just love her books!! The story, the writing, the characters are just so great!
