How long is the healing process of a broken-hearted?

It took me almost 6 months before completely healed. It is really hard to cope up. Almost everyday I cried and I didn't eat. Time really heals, just keep yourself busy. Go out with your family and friends to forget the problem your carrying. Just cry and cry and cry until you get tired of crying. Go to salons and dermas to have a new look it could help you. Don't loose hope to love again and don't be afraid to love again. Every human is different. God has plans for us. Maybe he/she is not the right for us. He would give us the better one. Above all, eat chocolates, it lessens your depression. =p

Hi.
I myself never experienced something like that and wish never do. Are you so sure that someone or any one can come out of depression that it might cause. I mean I don't think so that it would be that easy. Six months you said, I know some people who will go on and on crying for a small thing even after a couple of years.

I tend to believe a broken heart is an empty heart and you will feel heartbroken until you fulfil that emptiness because you will keep thinking about what you had and how much you miss that person, so replace and love again...

Everyone must keep always onething in mind -
that is life is temporary on this earth and at the same time worries, thoughts, feelings, emotions ... all are temporary. Nothing will stay permanently including happiness, therefore the most important factor here is TIME... it will cure everything, only thing we should learn ourselves how to face the situations boldly. The only solution is patience... wait for bad time to pass away and welcome the good times. That's all... accept everything whatever comes into your life... then nothing worries you.

I faced the same situation one year back, but can't get rid of her thoughts. I think, it dosen't possible for someone to forget someone beloved by force, I tried but failed. I know that time is a great healer and expecting it will be true for myself also.

I'm not totally sure if I'm suffering from a broken heart but I love chocolate.Unfortunatly I can't eat much of it because I'm allergic to sugar.

for me, it depends because in my case it's really hard to heal the wound..i was left by a man that is loved by me, so much in love with this man who is the father of my baby..he leaved us when i'm still 3mos pregnant, and it took me a year to heal the hurt in my heart..but as for now, it's already almost 3yrs, i already moved on and i already forgive him although, we don't have any communication..

Everything is correct specially with the chocolates =D While for me it took couple of years to heal and it is with the help of a new love. I almost thought it was hopeless for me but then again im glad i've over it.

no one really cant tell in my opinion.. but i do have a question still, do we really have a "healing" process? i mean, after all the pain we've gone through, is it all obtrusive enough for us to say "we are healing"?
