Virus!!!!!! plz help Me....

My PC's infected with virus, i don't know which one..... I cant see my hidden Files, it doesn't show hidden files and folders even after selecting the option in the Folder options... please tell me what to do or which anti-virus to use???

hi, sorry that you have a virus on your pc, but i have a forum address that you can use to help you out.

on that exact page there is a download for something called smitfraud anti virus and it is great, it removes all malicious software from your pc and is totally free. the only thing is that you will have to work in safe mode while you use the smitfraud scan (though that is easy to do, just restart your pc and while it is still on a black screen press F8 and choose safe mode).

oh yeah, i forgot to add, i have used this on my boyfriends pc and he was amazed at how it got rid of everything he didn't want and made his pc faster too.

and to help keep your pc free from such things you should consider downloading a free anti-virus program like AVAST! or AVG both are very good at detecting threats before they get onto your pc, whereas the smitfraudfix program gets them off after they have been installed.

Hi prabodh, thorough scanning using antivirus and by referring it to an expert either online or personal is the best way for you to do at this point. Afterwards, follow the instruction carefully with step by step guide for you to be guided. More so, I recommend www.bleepingcomputer.com and/or www.geekstogo.com/forum. There, you can contact one of the HJT expert which will help you solve your problem.

I agree, avast is the one of the free antivirus available, download and install it, then start scan for viruses.... after try to remove the virus... if avast don't remove the malware make a search in internet, in some cases there are available specific tools for specific virus.

You can use AVG since its free and its up to date ..
Or Antivirus Doctor its also free but effective ...

I would recommend you use " AVAST,NOD32 OR QUICK HEAL ". They are really the best ones i have ever used.If you want i can provide you " AVAST & NOD 32 ".
