Chatting Online with Strangers?

Be very very careful. I started chatting with a few people online a while back and innocently agreed to share photos with one of them. Back came a pic of the guy's private parts to put it politely! Luckily there was an option on the site to block that user and also make sure you never give any personal details out such as real name, where you live etc. I would again state be very careful - this guy made me feel sick with some of the sicko stuff he was saying to me. At first it may feel like a joke but please be warned.

Hello there. A question for you - Do you consider yourself to be chatting with a stranger now in Mylot? I personally think that starting a discussion and responding to a comment is considered as a form of chatting. Chatting online with people not only is harmless, it opens doors for you to chat with people from all over the world and learn new cultures. This is something you might not be able to do effectively in the real world through your network of friends. Despite all that, do be careful about meeting people you know online. Meeting them might not be as 'harmless' as chatting with them online.

I chat with some strangers online and I don't find them harmful. Instead I find it interesting to chat with them as I could learn a lot from people around the world like different cultures and thoughts. Chatting won't hurt you; it is only chatting though.

Yes I sometimes do chat online with strangers and I met some friends through it. I think it is harmless as long as its just talking and chatting. And don't give too much information about you at first, you have to get to know the person your chatting before you do. :-)
