I haven't ironed in years...most of my clothes are either permanent press or semi permanent press...besides when you think of it, ironing is a dumb chore, isn't it anyway? I mean after a little while, the ironed clothes get wrinkled again anyway. Right? Aren't your husband's shirts permanent press??

I wash my things by hand too, and hang them up on a clothesline I have strung up in the bathroom--Hey I got it...tell your husband the rumpled shirt look is the new fashion statement! LOL

I really hate to iron too. And to be honest usually I don't. I like to spray the clothes with a spray bottle of water and then throw them in the dryer with a dryer sheet for a little while before putting them on. That usually will get the wrinkles out. And if they are not very wrinkled then just spraying them with water and shaking them out works too. Also I have used Downy wrinkle release and that worked but really I think it works as well as using plain water in a spray bottle. But I do like to use downy because it smells so great. But after doiong all that if they are still wrinkled then I will drag out the iron and try to get the last few wrinkles out. But I try to avoid that. I know, I am so lazy! I really need to work on that.
And sometimes when my husband asks me to iron his clothes I tell him to iron his own clothes. But he would rather wear wrinkled clothes than to iron them so I end up getting the wrinkles out for him anyway. He can act so helpless sometimes. Sometimes it feels as though I have an extra child. lol.

I'm not sure what kind of shirt he has, but I know I hate ironing and in the morning before I'm getting ready sometimes I'll put a wrinkled shirt in the dryer, it has a section for that, and when you take it out in the wintertime especially, it's not only wrinkle-free, but nice and warm. I guess you probably can't do it with shirts that aren't suppose to go in the dryer or that might shrink.
