Saying goodbye to your child...

Today my son Matt (19) left Cape Cod to move to Texas to play hockey. This is such a wonderful opportunity for him - all expenses paid - travel to Alaska etc. This has been such a tough week knowing he was leaving. He stopped at my office for the final goodbye. Although it is a great thing he is doing - I am so sad to see him go. The tears would not stop. The poor boy didn't know what to say/do. I hugged him 4 or 5 times, cried my eyes out - it feels like such emotional pain. Anyone ever felt this?
