Pen or Pencil?

When you are writing which do you use most often, a pen or a pencil? I am strictly a pen person. I keep an assortment of pens handy in spots that I frequently use. I even use a pen when I am doing puzzles. I think this habit has been with me since high school. I have roller pens, ballpoints, gel pens, and fountain pens. The roller points are my favorites at present. Which is your favorite?

Yes, apple, fountain pens are wonderful, and they come in such lovely designs. I used to love writing with pens with different colored inks. They really look nice on paper and are a departure from the ordinary.

Pens for everything and anything. I know I should be using a pencil in my phone book but there too I use ink. I just do not like pencils, kind of makes me feel like it is not permanent. I love penmanship so I love handwriting and I have many different types of pens inclusing the old fashioned fountain pens. I see I am not the only pen/ink lover out here. Hahaha

How right you are, howard! I think there might be more of us out there than I realized. I have some older pens with beautiful designs on them.

Yeah, I find that I am always needing one throught the day, Calais, so I keep them ever near. Also, being a word puzzle fan, I manage to go through a lot of them.

I use both, but latele if favor mechanical pencils. It is some what make my handwriting neater, and clearer to read. Sometimes, I use pens. And my favorite pens are Pilot Easy Touch. It write very smooth, and the consistency of ink is great. I like all kind of colors. Well, purple ink is often ended up in my hand if I have a choice.

I really like Pilot pens also, IC. They are some of the smoothest writing instruments around.

i use pen as writing with pen looks more nice and bright, neat and easy to read it. I use pncil if i dont get a pen handy and i am in rush then i go for anything, a pencil, no problem and I also draw my drawing with pencil so I have many pencils always in my pen stand. But mostly I use pen

It seems that most adults prefer to use a pen, cmsk. I take it as a sign that we are reasonably sure of ourselves if we want to make it permanent.

It is much easier to make corrections when you use a pencil, 3lilangels. You do tend to pick them up and use them when you have little ones that use them a lot.

I don't mind whether it is a pen or pencil. For me content is most important. For drafting purposes, I use pencil, where we can erase or edit the content easily. But finally, my favorite is pen that too ball point pen.

I love writing with pen only. When i was in class X we are required to write with Pen and that was the time we wrote last time with pencil actively. Now i use pencil just to make some drawing. I love writing with pen as compared to pencil.

Actually I use the computer, since the left side of my left hand aches if I write with a pen too long (or a pencil for that matter.) But when I am away from the computer, and have to write in my journal, I use my pen. It is more permanent, and since we have the mechanical pencils that break off, I do not have to worry about that either. Pens usually get lost or stolen in our house. Pencils, on the other hand, are inconveniently around when anyone can use them. I now have one pen of those organizer purses, so I keep my pen in there.

I used to have my pens stolen all the time, suspenseful. That made me take to hiding them in my purse or dresser drawers until all of the kids grew up and left home. Now when the grandkids visit they do the same as their mothers did, lol.

I have found the best of both worlds with the erasable pen! It gives the darkness of ink and the erasability of a pencil. I always used to wear my hand out trying to get the writing from a pencil dark enough for easy reading--especially on crossword puzzles on slick magazine pages. I was delighted to find a pen that allows me to erase my mistakes. Now people think I am really smart because I do crosswords with a pen, he, he, he.

I once tried erasable pens myself, susieq, but I was not too satisfied with them. They do provide the ease of being able to correct your mistakes though.

I had to have pencils for my children also, jennysp. I laugh whan I think of how they always begged to use my pen. I would tell them to wait until they were older, lol.

I would prefer to use pencil because it is easier to make correction by using an eraser. Besides, pencil is waterproof.

I prefer a pen too. Dosent really matter what kind so long as it writes. I think I like them because they dont break and need sharpening and there easy to see on the paper.

i used pen mostly. i remembered pencils was used when i was young during my kindergarten school years and early primary school. That time,it was strictly no pens to be used.Once i have to starts to use pens during my middle years of primary school.I felt like as if im adults because that time,my thought of using pens is just for adults as children tends to cancel what they had write on if wrongly done. That's mindset had all gone from me.For now,i will just grab for pens.

I am also a pen person! I don't like using a pencil and I have several favorite pens that I use. I have one that writes in purple ink and so since that is my favorite color, I use it most often.

I use pens most of the time. I do puzzles and the like with them. My favorite pen is a fountain pen. But I use the ball rollers more often than anything else. I also try to keep a good mechanical pencil handy for when I want to stetch in journals.
