should children have mobile phones at school?

Hi, ideally no child should be allowed to carry mobile phones to school, as they have gone their for studies and not calling or indulging into such kind of acts and activities which lead from one thing to another. Beside the phone bills that parents would have to pay, its a distraction for the studen using it, and those who may be his friends, as they all are involved into such acts of violence or other things whic are not good. And we as parents have to stop this first by not giving the cell phones to the kids at school at least. And i think there is no emergency for the kids , that as they need to be contacted or need to call their parents ,so they need cell phones. There is an office in every school,and parents or kids can use the school phone with the permission of the authorites to use the phone there. And they dont need to talk daily, when in school either, so i feel there is no need for mobiles to be used by students in school. In our country they are banned in schools.

I don't think mobile phones should be banned at school.I think children should be acquire communicate with others.I think in their future,both study and work,they must have abilities of communication.

I do think the cell phones should be banned at schools. I work with a bunch of teenagers. All they do all day is text each other. School is for learning not chatting on line. I cant believe how many young kids have cell phones. Why does an 8 year old need a cell phone? We have told our daughter when you can buy it yourself and pay the bill then you can have one not before.

Yeah, it should be banned at school. Because at school, student should focus on their books and studies, in fact it is not long hours time at school. And there will be more violent cases at school as they can communicate each other for bad activities. If for good usage I don't mind and I realized that there are advantages and disadvantages. But in this case students more prone to disadvantages.

i think it's easy. The child keeps the mobil phones, but if they're in school, switch it off. Teachers can be very angry when it start to ring at classtime. But when the child go to school or come to home from school, switch it on. Anything can happen on the road, the best idea to learn them how can make emergency calls. And another reason: if the parents are nervous they can call the child so where is or what happened. Of course we know childs will not switch off their phones in the school, but the parents must to ask it.
