I used to collect giraffee figruines! I am very short and really wish I were taller. The tall, graceful giraffee is such a beautiful animal in my eyes! HOwever, I stopped collecting them. I have always collected Nurse figurines and nuring items too. I have many shelves full of nursing items in my office at work and many at home too!

I don't really have any collections as such. I usually collect equipment for whatever hobby I enjoy doing at the time. Everything I get is to use, but to do things properly you often need to get a lot of equipment. I guess you could say that I have several amassments!
I have a bunch of fishing rods, reels, lures, and tackle such at swivels.hooks/weights. As i put in another post, i haven't been fishing for long and I've tried several different types for which you need different types of rods etc.

Hi claire03! I do collect blue figurines and ceramics but I really don't have a vast collection, because I am just starting. When I was very young, I collect stationeries of different colors and scents. My hubby collects toys, comic books since he was a kid; so you just imagine the collection that has accumulated through the years. We have one room full of his collection and those that didn't make into the shelves for display are neatly packed in airtight plastics and boxes. He also have stamps, coins, cameras and masks. Take care and have a nice day.

I am an old hobbiest. During late 80s I published an international penpal magazine so due to this I am penpal edict and hobbiest, but now it reduces due to many reasons, I have lot of stamps, coin, bank note, view card, picture, postcard, penpal magazine, penpal letters at least one brifcase. I have philatelic stamp group in yahoo group. That time the way of collection and exchange letters was post office not internet so it was hard that time though hobbiest never feared - all meet their hobbies taking pains and much time.

I always had a hobby. My first one when I was in my 20's was a model railways with the whole work... like the ones you see in exhibitions. That lasted me 10 years.
Then for the next 10 years... I collected stamps in a big way. I put $30.000 in it. That was followed by my first computer. For the last 13 years... my hobby is the computer. In the last couple of years... I have also started a collection of movies on DVDs as I love watching movies.
Another one of my hobbies during the eighties and nineties was to copy movies from the television on video. I ended up with over 1000 hours of video tapes.
If stamps interest you... look for my free virtual stamps on my website http://www.aussies-online.com

I actually collect three different items. Dolls of the World, Water Globes, and Coins. I started my doll collection years ago and now I have run out of space, lol. The water globes I started a few years ago and I keep them in a glass cabinet. My coins I have put into a treasure chest and I am always on the look out for old coins to add.

Since my hobby is scrapbooking , I collect anything and everything to do with my scrapbooks . It can become quite expensive to buy all the different items they have in the stores and it is amazing the things we have around our house that we can use on a page or what others will throw out that would look nice when making a page , so I collect anything that others don't like or want anymore that would look nice on a page . I like to save all the little things that I would have throw out before I ever got started on scrapbooking .
