Anyone know how to trace your family's geneology? Me and my youngest sister are interested in trying to trace down our lineage and not sure where to start. I have found some sites on line, but they charge. Not sure where to begin. I mean, I have emails out to some family, but I don't have a lot of family to get in touch with. Thanks for any help. :)

Would you be able to see some records in City Hall that could give you a clue? Is that where they store old newspapers on microfilm? Maybe the library is the place for that. You could research as far back as possible on your last name, and then take that information and go from there. I hope some of your relatives can help you out. Usually they have the most information.
