Im kind of afraid of Cats.Do you?

If you have a phobia you will never understand why other people like the animal. It is like someone who is afraid of snakes trying to understand how can someone have a snake in their room. I love cats and I don't have any problem with them. But I understand if someone is afraid of them. I have a close friend who is afraid of dogs. She will run if she sees a puppy. I totally respect her fear.

well, sometimes that's just the way people are... they're afraid or uncomfortable around certain things. i used to be really afraid of spiders and then decided to learn about them... and then we got a tarantula as a "pet" and he was freakin' awesome. no, i never picked him up, but once i learned about them, i discovered that i wasn't afraid anymore. and you sure wouldn't like my house. right now i have 7 of my own, i'm fostering 8 kittens... and my cats sleep with me, in fact, i have one who loves to just flop down on my face when i just get into bed! haha! but i'm used to it. my mom is the same way. we went for the weekend to the mountains and mom and i are lying in bed going... we can't sleep. no cats on our faces! hahah! don't worry about it... it's just you. maybe one day you can work up to it... but that's just your perogative! cats are kickin' little critters. i love mine!

I can't imagine some people who can't imagine people have pets at home. I dislike people who dislike animals. I believe if they dislike animals can easily hurt them too. And people who hurt animals are my enemies.

Well, quite the contrary actually - i love cats! I am not actually what people call a pet-lover. For instance, I don't hate dogs (hate is too strong a word) but I can't imagine having one as a pet. I had just one pet cat my entire life. It was just given to me by a former classmate and what can I say, it's lovely. They may not be as warm as dog's are but they do have their own sweet ways. And they are gorgeous!

Hi. I'm not exactly afraid of cats, but I don't like them. I have a feeling that cats are traitors. I don't know why. I'm ok with them as long as they don't start purring and rubbing themselves against me.

I don't think pets such as cats and dogs are that so scary. For me they as so cute and so fun to touch, even watching them gives me a time to relax. Why not try looking at them at a positive way. They are created by God to be men's friend. They can give you company and you can always count their loyalty to you as long as you give them enough care and love that they deserve.

That is so sad for you, I think you are missing so much not have a pet. I have felt through my life I have been let down do much by humans and even when I lost my parents and my very special friend that the one thing I could count on at that time was the cat I had at each event. Animals are so much more loyal than people but if that is the way you feel you can't really help it but for you I feel just a little bit sad.

IT is all dependent on the individual, doesn't it? One man's poison is another man's meat. Some like cats cos they find cats more attractive. Others find dogs better companion. Yet there are others, who are like you, who loath the very sight of these animals. Different people from all walks of life makes this world.

hello dianagnes ,i also dislike animals and i am naturally scared of cats,mouse and most of small animals. perhaps i dare not touch animals due to that happened when i was six. a day i had killed a duckling through my own careless.i was very sorry about that.so i am still dare not to touch animals ,especially small animals.

i am not afraid of cats, but i think they are very magical. a college classmate is afraid of cats very much, she will cry even she see the pictures of cats. at first, i thought she just pretended to fear cats. one day, we tooke a picture of a lovely cat on her bed, and when she came back ,and saw the picture, she didn't touch her bed, and she asked us to take it away, but we pretended sleep. Then she standed away from her bed for over 1 hour. Then we took the picture away from her bed, and she changed a new sheet. then went to bed.

my boyfriend doesnt like cats also.. hehe.. me! i love cats.. hahai.. one day when we were walking towards his house.. a cat passed by and he was like a little boy hiding at my back telling me to protect him against the cat.. hahaha.. he said cats are like demons .. i dont know why.. i always want to have a cat as a pet but he doesnt allow me to have.. huhu.. ;( but its okay.. i know there are some who are really afraid of things that others love..

Well I can tell you...most cats are wonderful, snuggly, fun pets to have around. We currently have 5 and they are funny, entertaining and very loving. We also have 2 big dogs. From your comments you would be thoroughly disgusted if you came to our house because they do roam around...but we also keep our house and the litter boxes clean. Having house pets does require some extra work...but the love and companionship pets provide is a worthwhile trade off...just ask any pet owner. That is why we have them! However...if that is not a choice you want to make...don't do it! I have enclosed a photo of two of our cats...the black one is Gemini...the grey one is Chakra. They have since passed on...but the special bond we shared with them lives on in our memory and when we look at photos like this.

I'm not afraid of cats but i'm scared of being sick becaus e of cats as I have an allergy when I'm close to cats or any animal that is.heheheh!

My father always said people who don't love animals and children had something wrong with them, don't ever marry a man like this. I live and let live, and I feel sorry for you that your parents didn't bring you up to feel love for animals as you are missing out on soo much love in your life due to this. Ok I don't care if you find me disgusting or not because I find your attitued towards animal lovers is also disgusting! Live and let live.

I have three cats, and let me tell you right now that there is nothing to be afraid of. I was a little scared of cats too at one time when I was younger, but when my Frisky was born, a lot of that fear went away. When my cat, Goldie, came along, my fears were gone, they only fears I had, were the fears that mother's have. Goldie became my adopted daughter, and I would not trade her for the world. She is my baby.

Me also don't like only because its mainteance is difficult.

i love animals, i live on farm, brought up with animals all my life, and my life is now filled with animals. i hate bugs and snakes etc thou very scarey i just run and scream lol

I have a fear of cats because growing up I had a next door neighbor who had two mean cats that scratched anyone who walked by them. When we were at his house and had to use the bathroom, we had to pass by them to get to the bathroom and they would reach and scratch our legs and ankles. For no other reason than to do it. It never did it to their family just everyone else. So the fear has carried with me to this day. They are nice to look and and pet, but I fear any second it will scratc me or my kids.

I think its fear in you that have caused that phobia, you should seriously try touching them when you can, dare yourself to do something and you will learn that actually its yourself which you need to beat and the fear is not the cats but you.
