A few months ago I was illegally fired from my job as a result of telling the truth. I am now in the midst of a lawsuit I have filed against my former employer and my former boss. Dealing with my unemployment, the lawsuit, looking for employment, the public spotlight that is now on me (lots of media attention to the issue), and the depression issues surrounding it all is quite a challenge to me. On one hand I feel quite empowered. I did what was right. I got fired for it, but I am standing up for myself and what is right. I know I will win in the end and justice will prevail. In the meantime, it can be quite overwhelming however. In the end, I will be a stronger person for it, though, so I wouldn't forgo the experience for anything.

i am sorry to hear that. i am proud of you that you tell the truth. even though the incident cause you in lawsuit, you still remain strong in faith and confident in yourself.
God will make a way for you. when bad things happen, sometimes it's a blessings from God that He want you to know and upwrap it.

Learning to think differently about money. My whole life I have thought about it like a poor person and have always been poor. Someone finally explained to me that I could change the way I thought about it, behaved with it and used it.
Think about it. If a person were to decide to pay themselves first by keeping 10% of every dollar they earned and investing it wisely, they would always make more tomarrow than they did today. Each dollar is like an employee who works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
I may be earning a few cents here on mylot, that is money I earn. I have to work for it. When that first check rolls in for $10, I will take $1 and put it in my ING account. It will immediately begin earning more money for me $.04 per year. When I accumulate $50 I will withdrawl it and loan it out at Prosper.com and increase it's earning potential to 20-25% or about 25 cents per year, doubling it every 4 years.
Now that is just talking about a dollar. I work for a living too. I keep 10% of that also. I began this process in June. I have built up a small investment portfolio of dollars that continue to work for me while I am playing around on sites like this.
My goal is early retirement. My little dollars earning more dollars while I do whatever I want to. It all begins with 10% and a little discipline. That new car, coat, shoes, fastfood all sound tempting when I have cash. Oh yeah I have 90% of my income to buy that stuff with. I just buy a little less now so I can have more later.
It has proven difficult but not impossible. I think everyone should try it.

wow, your comment and advice really impress me and let me think about how i manage my money.
yes, we need to be careful and not to be tempted by the material possession, in this case,we can use our money wisely and invest in things that will bring us money, or residual income.
even if earning in mylot is a small start, it sure will train us to be wise in handling our money. every dollar save is every dollar earn.
wish you retire young, retire rich!

my challenge right now is to meet my deadline in the submission of some reports which i think is impossible if done in the usual pace considering that it is all saints day.

Coping with my oldest graduating this June. He wants to go into the military & I support him on this. I just don't know how I will cope once he is out on his own. He has always been my rock through thick and thin.

Waking up every morning. I have nothing to look forward to because, I can't work the jobs I use to and I am waiting to see if I need back surgery and for disability. God Bless
