i remember the days when my dad was alive and i used to hug him in the mornings and tell him papa i love you. and everyday i used to wake up with a kiss on my fore head. i miss that now. but, nevertheless, isnt it amazing to wake with knowing you are loved ? isnt that amazing ?

yes, love and affection when openly shown and given, makes us feel good, it connotes belongingness. i did not grow up in a family where we say i love you or i need you openly. i wish it was that way. father and mother showed affection and love in their special kind of ways. i knew they meant everything.and i am thankful. i miss them both. i say now ilove you Tatay and Nanay!

wait a bit we will join them soon,
and in garden beautiful together we will croone,

and i too will be loking at you, smiling , giving you a toy.

True enough. I await that day to be rejoined with those who have come ahead. My task is to make my life, whatever remains of it ( only God knows, a year, two years...or do i grow old to 85)....to be joyful...this may be an assurance for me to enter that beautiful place beyond imagination. Yes it is truly amazing apple and one of the best things in life if not the best.
To wake up knowing that there is not one soul in this world that cares for you must be so heart breaking.
You were so fortunate to have a father that showed you how to love. What a true gift that is. There is nothing he could have done better for you.

thanks so much naty, i know what you mean eactly. and that is the reason why i try to ppour out as much love as i can to anybody i come accross, not to hear praises, not at all but to make one know that i will always be by one's side till i am alive, i do that specially with people who have lost their parents, and though i am 32 i end being called uncle by some elderly friends of mine of 50 and 60 lol. what a pleasure of a nice kind. i am happy to share all the little love i have and would love to see love flowing all around. let us give freely and seek GOD ALMIGHTY for guidance.

I am sorry to hear that,It is really amazing,with that kiss ,we maybe the most happiness person in the world,in fact, your father is still alive,the difference is that we are live in the diffenent place, and he will still kiss you when you wake up,when you are in difficulies,when you are in sorrows,in happiness,......wish you can feel!;-)

Indeed, love is what makes us real humans, and feels our life and deeds. Without love where would we be? I cannot imagine life without love, as love is what makes us GOOD :)

thankyou. you are right , love is some thing that makes life worth living, times worth enjoying and dreams worth having.
i mentioned about my dad because i feel now, as i am growing up that he was indeed a different person and always stressed on love, he used to make me sit with him every evening and give lessons on love, lol, amazing. one of his favourite things he used to say was "always be humble, the more fruit laden a tree is, the more bent you will see it". i wish he was alive though i smile always with the thought that he is in a better place, it would be selfish on my part to wish for him to be with me when he is in a better place, and soon i will join him too. so let's rejoice in the name of GOD ALWAYS.

I wake up alone because when I get up my mom's already at work. But when I was younger I never got a kiss or anything when I woke up or anything like that, a hug and good morning was it.

lady, you are a very beautiful person and i know that from your writings, though they are a few lines but are stable, standing straight and honest, though there is a great yearning for true wisdom of the comfortable kind. i have a strange feeling that you are a person who is distinct in a crowd of thousands. and you are a very loving person, though silent. sometimes we give more of what we have not got because we know how beautiful it would be if we got it, this makes a person selfless,forthgoing and much stronger and gentle a human being.

yes, I could still recall the good old days. My father & mother are still alive, but we are 4 to 5 hours travel apart from each other. What I remember about my papa during my childhood days is when I wake up every morning to see my wish granted. Not that it's a big wish; you know, a wish from a child would never be that too big, and considering my wishes are on a daily basis. My wishes would range from buying a lollipop to drawing of kitchen utensils or roses. But the fact that I got it & my dad heard me felt like God was the one giving me my wishes. It's great to know that He hears us, like a father giving to his child. It is written that a father will not give a snake if his child asks for a fish, right?! It's a nice feeling to know that you are loved and considered precious by people whom you love so dearly, too.

i can feel what you say. it feels amazing in many ways. the love that the parents give to their children is strong and remains to help them through thei life.what an amazing bond. and just knowing that they are there for you or were there for you makes one feel very good. life is an amazing journey and love is its fuel i guess.

When I got married, I missed my mama tucking me in at night so bad for the first few weeks. My mom would always come and tuck me in and give me my goodnight kiss and she did that up until I got married. Everytime I see Mama, she gives me a hug and a kiss when she leaves. I don't take that for granted and it's still important to me, even at 23.:)

yes it is amazing how much we know that we are so loved by everybody around us.love is the most precious thing we can give to our families,and friends.each day we just wake up and our loved more and more each day,the love never stops and never will.its just one of those things that will keep us going on,kinda of like the energizer bunny lol.love goes on and on and on.........

love goes on. it should. i would tove to kiss my kids every morning and night atleast , when i have them. now i stll do if i am at a friends place, kiss their kids and hug them. it a great strength that we can pass to any one.

Yeah, you are right, it is real nice to wake up with a kiss, a hug, something that remind you the person next to you love you... so if you feel that way... what do you do? wake up, and go to your mom or your sister, and wake them up with a kiss and a hug... remember this world is plenty of energy, and any good thing you do it comes back to you!

I do not have nice memories about my parents, though they are still alive.
But I wake up my son allways with my kiss. I always sit onto his bed, kiss and touching him till he wakes up. I think he takes it naturally. Maybe when he will be older he will remember what good feeling it was...

i am with your sentiments. my dad too is on a far far away island (in heaven) , my mom in her own world. but every morning when i wake up i say "GOD i begin my day in YOUR name" and love him and when i sleep i say "GOD thankYOU i end my day in YOUR name, forgive me".
and wait for the day when the angels swing us in their arms by GOD's will. that will be better than all we can imagine.
