How do you answer phone calls?

Being courteous and polite is always right. I am in a company... we are told to answer phone call calls politely. Wherever you are (in a company or at your own home), do you answer phone calls politely?

Hi jalbeos! I always answer the phone with first saying good morning or whatever and then say if how can i help him or her but I say that with a smile because I was told before that even though the other person on the other line can't see your smile, somehow he or she would feel that smile on the words you are saying. Take care and have a nice day!

Yes. I extend courtesy on and off the phone whether at work or at home. I treat people as I want to be treated. sunnywaters

It depends on the situation or the relation I share with the person I am talking too. It is 99% polite and to close friends the rule is bent a little and some slang may be introduced.
