I have a student who is doing a project for a comparative religion class and she came to me for some help. She is doing a paper on Christianity and needs some information on the Trinity. I have spent several hours trying to find a scriptural reference to it and have come up empty. I am sure I am missing the obvious but if you could give me some help it would be appreciated.

For me, the TRINITY is illogical and obviously nonsensical. It is a fine example of how religious believers can stretch the limits of reasonable belief. That said, here are 2 links where sincere believers try to explain the TRINITY. In my opinion, they fail miserably, but they make as good an effort as almost anyone.

Hope these help.

"Reasonable faith"?
I do not believe such a thing exists. It is always illogical to accept anything on faith alone. Instead, I assign probabilities as to the likelyhood of any particular thing being true or not.

It is true that the word Trinity does not appear in the Bible. It is implied rather than explicitly stated.

You can try this for a start. Wikipedia may also have a few links.
