My boyfriend of three years and I ended our relationship a couple of months ago. I'm through with all the crying, mourning and all those crazy things brokenhearted people go through. Although I haven't completely erased him from my system yet, I know I have moved on.
Anyways, there is this guy who thinks he like me a lot. We had a couple of dates. He's a very nice guy, a boyfriend material and if I really think about it (rationally), I know I could be happy with him if only I could bring myself to like him that much. He wants us to move to another level but I told him I'm not yet ready and I need more time and then he sort of said, "okay, I'll just try not to think about you anymore." What was that all about? And did I just let our chance pass by or I should take my time? Can you help me clear my mind on this? Thanks very much.
And by the way, my two exes are named Chris and this guy too. What's with Chris? Anybody here named Chris?

Take your time. You just ended a relationship. Anyone who is a respectful man should understand that. You maybe should wait a little longer between boyfriends, too. Only you will know/figur that out for sure.
When I was younger, every guy I dated was Don. Just seemed to be a lot of Dons where I lived and they seemed to be nice, at first. When I "broke out" of the Dons it was Daves. I seemed to have a letter D thing going on. But I broke out of that, too. My husband's name is Phil. Hope this helps. Take care

Chris is a sexy name, and guys with the name Chris tend to always be hot. Case in point: Chris O'Donnell.

It almost sounds like the new boyfriend is trying to make you feel sorry for him or try to scare you into moving to a new level for fear of losing him . If he really cares for you he will wait until you are ready . If you really want to know what he meant though , it would be good to ask him what he meant when he made that statement as the best way to start a relaionship is in being able to talk to each other and getting to know each other . Take Care

Yeah, I think he's trying to make me feel sorry for him but I just can't jump into something which I'm not ready for and not sure of.
Thanks. I really need this.
