A monent ago, I was playing a computer game. I can say that I'm crazy in that game when I playing. But you know, many people don't agree the girls to play computer games. They think that is the only right to the boys to play computer games. But you also know the fact is that many girls are have fun when playing them, someone even has the gift in that fiel.
Do you also a player? And what kind of computer games do you enjoy playing? Do you agree with me that girls can play? Share with us.

I've always played computer games, since I was a little kid. Some of the games I played as a kid would look so silly graphics-wise compared to the games we have now. =p
I've been told before too that I can't really be interested in computer games because I'm female. In online games like Half-Life or World of Warcraft or even old text-based MUDS I've been accused of lying about my gender just because people are so convinced that girls don't play games.
It's funny now because especially for younger girls there are starting to be games made specifically to appeal to them. There are games based on a lot of the Disney characters, and even on dolls and such. So I guess the industry is starting to catch on that girls like computer games too.
Though I've always preferred the kind where I'm trying to kill someone or something, so I don't think I'd like most of those for-girls games anyways. Even in nonviolent games like Sims, I find myself spending way too much time killing off characters. I wonder if that means something is wrong with me. *giggles*

Thanks for response. I've also been told before that I can't play those computer games which kind that almost for boys to play. But I don't care. I like to play, it's so exciting. Kill someone or something, only happen in the games. But when I feel bored with it, then I won't play for a long time. And another piont is that sometime you will feel terrible for wasting time to play such computer games. So, when playing, must control yourself.
Anyway, having fun when playing.

I am very sorry to hear that. I was very fortunate. My family emmigrated to america and I was born here. No matter what, my parents tried to give us every opportunity that they did not have since they were raised under communism. Since as young as 6 I remember playing video games with my older sisters. We were ony girls and my father never felt 'cheated'. We played games like Shark for Intelevision, and Scooby Doo. We also had an Atari system w/ tons of games. Later he bought us our first computer from Radio Shack ( I totally blaned on the name, but it started w/ a T... anyone? anyone?) We used to play a popular racing game and Leisure Suit Larry LOL!!!! Thank goodness my parents made technology part of our lives becuase now we are very competative in the work force in regards to computers and software. My sister's career revolves around computers and network admin. and I have always received awards and raises for my ability to fully utilize the software I use as a graphic designer. Thanks to my parents! And for those of you who don't believe children should play games on the computer, you better be giving your children a very valid reason and a back up career because our future only revolves around technology. Eventually, it will turn into the have and have nots in terms of technology. Sad, but, true!

Oh, GAMES... I forgot. In my house (hus., wife, 3 kids) we have a Wii, PS2, PSP, DS, several gameboys and games for the computer. Personally, I love my DS and play games like Animal Crossing, magnetica, zoo keeper (very relaxing when I am stressed), and much much more!

Why shouldn't girls play computer games? I'm a female, and I sure play computer games, Nindendo DS games, PS2 games. I love playing games in fact. I love online games, such as mmorpgs, or even rpgs. I started way back with Diablo 2. I don't think games has anything to do with gender. Some girls like to play it, some girls don't like. Just like, some guys like to play soccer, but not all boys like to play it. I don't think it's crazy. Girls can be as good as a gamer as anybody else. :) It's just a gender. It doesn't define us.

females are equal to males in doing most things these days. those were the days when there were differences in performing duties or works. Now we're in the modern world those differences no more exist. so i don't see why girls shouldn't play computer games.what should they be doing at their own free time?
don't they have the same choice of what to do at their free time as the boys?
i do play word and board games as well as arcade computer games but not often. i like words as i enrich my dictionary and arcade for thrill fun.
