What's your favorite breed?

I love Westies, Yorkies, Standard Poodles, Bernese Mountain Dog, Newfies...sooo many more.

I am a dog lover. I mostly like the working/hearding type dogs. I have had a couple of Shelties. Curently we have an Australian Shephard and an Australian Cattle Dog. We also have a Maltese puppy who is very cute and funny.

He is kind of like a cross between a rabit and a cat. He plays like a cat. Makes noices like a cat. And bounces around like a rabbit. I is so funny. He loves to atack the other dogs. He will run up, bite their feet and run off before the other dogs even know he is there. He plays mostly with Kalliegh the cattle dog and she makes noices like a dragon so we call her the dragon dog. It is so fun to watch them play.

Wow, that's a really great mix of dogs! Maltese puppies are so cute...they walk bounce around more than they walk.

my favorite breed has to be pitbulls. yes i know "the killer dog". i know for a fact they're not killers. the just have a bad wrap. i love my pit and i think i will continue to get them til the day i die

Pit Bulls are like any other dog - agressive when they are trained to be. They are very sweet and they just have a really bad wrap.

I have to say that my favorite breeds are a toy poodle and a pappion. I adore the way the pappion looks so its a fav. Plus they are really sweet dogs. And then i have a toy poodle who is the most amazing dog ever. He entertains himself, throws a ball for himself. Is great with my 2 boys, one a baby one a preschooler. Hes just a good dog. Mutts are my other fav. Ive had alot of mutts in my life and they seem to be the best type of dog. They end up with all the good fetures of the breeds that are mixed.

You are right, there are so many to choose from. My two favourites are Newfoundlanders and French Briards. Both are very large breeds, but both have wonderful temperaments. Currently we do not have a dog, but I'm hoping in a few years time we can get one of these. The deal is though, I have two children and I need a dog that will treat them with respect and has a tendency to be child friendly. Both of these breeds meet these standards... not to mention that they are both gorgeous.

You're right...Both of those breeds are great. That is definitely important that you seek out a breed that will be gentle with children...many smaller dogs are snippy. Most people think it'd be better to go with a smaller breed due to its size, but they usually do not get along with children.

I love my Boston Terrier. :) I also like black labs, blue healers and Rodesian ridgebacks. I would love to have a larger dog but hubby says no way. :(
