In the next 18 month we will have had election in the USA, United Kingdom and Denmark. It makes me soo exited i cannot wait. Hopefully we will be the first to get the option of telling that tosser of ours (bush muppet) to bugger of. In Denmark it is a tradition, at least amongst the working class and the common people to make a day of it. Some might go to their locak before voting to have the final discussions and a few beers. Even more will go to the local after having voted and spend a few hrs in the company of equal people.
Its also tradition to gather privately or in pubs for election night.
How is it in your country? How does electionday look from your perspective? Do you, as me, get all exited and hopefull of new beginnings?

Nah, here in the US, for me anyway, it's just day. I take the kids to go vote then I go on my way with our daily plans. Then I don't even watch the news that night to see who won, I wait till the next morning. I don't get all worked up cause I have had darn near heart attacks over the last 2 presidential elections at the out right in our face cheating that took place. How in the world does a man with 30% approval rating win a friggin election? Can any one tell me that? UUUUGGGGGGG!

As you know my friend, I am with you on the disgrace of the previous 2 presidential election or at least the one in 2000. In my opinion that was the biggest scam in the history of human race and still, when i think about it i cannot believe how he got away with it either. But second time arround I am sorry, but i blame that on the americans, they had the chance to send bush home, but they didn't.

Why in god's name would you even be concerned with who we vote for? It's not your country and really isn't any of your business. If you don't like our leaders, immigrate here, become a citizen and vote. Otherwise, mind your own countries afairs.

Well, honestly. I dont live in denmark, why would I popssibly care about or critisize how you vote? it has no effect on me. I'm thinking you may have taken this a bit to heart, but honestly Im tired of the rest of the world telling us how to vote. We as a nation are acused constantly of "sticking our noses in everyones busines". Well I log on to Mylot and see discussion after discussion about our leaders and low and behold, most of the participants don't even live here. It gets old afer a while. didnt mean to sound so offensive. I typed it in a hurry and in retrospect, didnt think about how I worded things.

Well, as per your recamendation, I looked at your other discussions and responses. For someone who claims to watch american news everyday you demonstrate an amazing lack of knowlage on american politics. And what amazes me even more, in all the political discussions you took part in or started, you discuss only american politics. Do you not concern yourself at all with the politics of your own nation? With a government that can't seem to stay afloat for more than a few years at a time? Do you not watch danish news? Do you dislike your own country as much? In one discussion about what makes you proud of your country you reply with ...."Absolutely fck all. My national soccer team used to meke me proud, but we can't play soccer anymore:(("
In regards to my country, you post such wisdom filled and insightful pearls of wisdom as:
in regards to the 9/11 attacks
"These atrocities have only been over done by the atrocities caused by bush in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq."
reguarding john Mcain...."Unfortunately he is still breathing. However i hope it wont be for much longer:)"
You say you hate america because George Bush's influence extends beyond our borders. So does this mean you also despise the leader of china? It's influence extends all over asia in a very big way and in an even bigger way economicaly world wide as does india's economy.
There are a great deal more I could comment on but it would be far beyond the scope of this thread and you don't demonstrate enough of a working knowlege of our political and social system to fully grasp my responses and some are so beyond rediculous they don't even merrit any kind of response.
I will reiterate and expand on my former statement. If you despise our leadership that much and care that much about our politics, immigrate here, become a citizen and vote or for that matter, run for office. You couldnt be president but you could run for congress which is where the real power is anyway.
