Dear friends, sometimes my spouse gets angry at me and her tone and pitch would become higher, when she is angry...just to calm her down...I tell her...."OH dear! you look very BEAUTIFUL, when you are in anger". ....this way her anger would cool down and calm and sometimes she cannot stop herself but laughing on my this type of comments.
Do you also adopt this formula, when your spouse gets angry at you...or have you ever tried this idea? If yes, please share your experiences with me...and if not, give it a try...hope you will succeed.
Have a nice day!
Thanks in advance for your interesting responses.

Dear Deepak
What a nice discussion you have started :) .. Infact you are giving a great tip over here through this discussion -- on how to cool down your spouse. I must say you are very experienced in this matter and you know how to make a person smile even if the person is angry on you. I can say that your wife is a lucky woman in this world to have a sensible husband like you. If you have more tips then please share as you can see I don't have that much experience like you .. in winning hearts :) .. Rated +

Thanks soooooooooooooooooooooo much liking the discussion.
I try my best to make a person smile, specially when she/he is down and out or in bad mood.
As regards, your point that my wife is lucky to have me as her husband, I will have to confirm it from her, whether she agrees with your opinion or not? LOL!
I will surely be glad to share tips with you regarding pleasing others, whenever a request comes from you. And please please do not say that you are not good at winning hearts, I am not in agreement with your statement. In fact you are more expert than I,in winning hearts, as far as I feel.
Have a good day!

Thanks for your reply, I am not going to use it regularly...this idea is used sometimes, depending upon the circumstances, if I start using it everytime, then I will be in soup.
Have a nice day!

so this is only you formula and not real.....lol.....naughty boy.......yes all know this tehnique of false praising of women and immediately she melts and gives broad smile and you can relax.......I am sure every husband knows a formula to make her wife happy specially when her temper is high.....:D. Actally we women have very big heart and we cannot see our hubbys in pressure for long time.....that is why we give up and not for praising.......I am sure all women will agree with me.

when I ended my first sentence with ...lol.....it is obvious that I was joking.......so don't take it seriously. Well I am a woman so I will obviously praise women more than men... take the whole thing lightly deepak....this is just a discussion and not decision.......have a nice day.

Dear, thanks for your interesting response and comments.
But how can you conclude that when I say to my better half that she is looking beautiful....I am NOT appreciating her in reality?
'Beauty lies in the eyes of a beholder', you know that. ....so you cannot say that I am telling her a lie that she is looking beautiful when she gets angry!
Please do not generalise the statement that all women have big heart and they cannot see their hubbies in pressure for a ling time...and they finally give up and they do not bow down because of appreciation.
I may tell you all are not large hearted and broad minded like you.
Have a nice day!

LOL I gotta tell you that my husband does this quite often and usually he starts singing "Koi haseena jab rooth jathi" bla bla bla and honestly it actually makes me more mad. I find it rather patronising as I know he's trying to get around me - he is the one who drives me mad in the first place (usually deliberately) and then tries to get out of it by making a joke. Sometimes it works and makes me laugh but actually more often it annoys me even more and he has to run when I pick something up as if to throw at him (not that I have ever actually thrown anything at him). SO guys reading this, beware, it might NOT always work LOL!

Dear Anonymili, thanks very much for your wonderful response.
I have already written above, in response to SSS123's reply that - I am not going to use it regularly...this idea is used sometimes, depending upon the circumstances, if I start using it everytime, then I will be in soup'
I entirely agree with you that this idea cannot work everytime, in that case, there are other ideas to cool the tempers down (you appear to me very experienced person in this field so I feel that there is no need to reveal those ideas for you...LOL!)
Have a nice day!

Mili!
I am sorry could not see your comments earlier.
I may tell you that even my temper is also short-lived. I cannot sustain my anger or annoyance (In fact I started a discussion on this topice -"how long you can carry your annoyance).
It is better not to carry your anger for a longer period.
Have a nice day!
:) :)

Thanks for your lovely reply to my comment. I have to add here that even though I have a very short temper, it is actually also very short-lived, i.e. I can shout and scream and then be all happy and cheerful again 2 minutes later. This is not always the case but mostly. My husband has learnt to back off (when he's in a sensible frame of mind) and let me cool off myself rather than make things worse by offering silly comments or singing silly songs to me LOL!

hi deepak,
A very nice tactic that you are following to cool down the anger of your wife.Beside shouting at each other i think adopting something humorous on others when they are angry will change the whole scene of fight.
I will laugh out loudly when somene comments on me when iam anger.
I have a doubt..does women really look beautiful when they are angry?
I personally feel anger makes peoples face look terrible..i have seen the angry faces of many people..hope your wife is one among the rare people who look beautiful all times..am i right???
My home people says that i look bad when i shout out of anger.Hence nowdays i try to control anger by not showing it in my facial reaction.

Thanks very much for liking my idea and for your comments.
Suba, 'Beauty lies in the eyes of beholder' you would agree with me on this point. It is a debateable point whether a person looks beautiful or othewise while in anger. Presuming, he/she does not look beautiful while angry, but I feel, saying positive and humours words can have a magical effect on the other person.
Have a nice day and happy weekend!

Great topic! When I've gotten angry at whatever program I'm usiing on the computer my sister used to do the same thing. She would walk in the room, see my state and say something funny - and we definitely share similiar humuor. So I would feel this laughter bubbling up - so confusing as its right next to my frustration.
For me it works well. Usually I'm angry at inanimate objects - like ziplock bags and blinds!

Thanks very much for liking my idea and supporting me that it does work in certain circumstances. I believe that humour should always be there in life, even when one is getting angry, adding a pinch of homour can do wonders.
Have a nice day!

hahahaha... You are so right, it is funny... Actually I was with friends and arguing with my partner I got angry and my friend said oh you look sexy when your angry and I started laughing and told them to shutup... But it did cool me down..... My partner makes jokes when I'm upset to make me laugh and it generally helps alot...

dear deepak,
I guess, that's jusy the right move and attitude for you. It shows how cool a person you are. We all have our own ways of pacifying various situations of life. some keep mum, some fight, some escape and some to laugh it out. Diluting the environment, is perhaps the most sensible of all. No wonder you have a peaceful family life.
Good wishes for your family.

I think you really know how to be a perfect husband:) Your wife is very lucky. Sometimes a sense of humor can solve problems. If my husband says so, be sure I won't be mad at him any more:) Thanks for your tricks, I think it's very useful for me. Next time when my husband is angry, I shall say to him that he looks handsome when he is in rage:)

Haha..that's a filmy style of pacifying your wife, I thought it will work only in the films and not in reality. It's very surprising that you got away with that. Now that your wife is at peace, starting saying that she looks the ugliest when she's angry and you just lied, that way she will never ever frown again.:p
Thanks for sharing, not hopefully, I shall get a chance to try that someday in future.
And lol, don't try doing what I said, was just kidding.

hey this sounds familiar! my ex-bf popped these words up when i got really angry on him because he wasn't able to come on our pre-scheduled date for a very worthless reason.. (lol!) i was nagging at him, confronting him, arguing just for him to give me an acceptable reason for not showing up, then he looked at me straight in the eye touched my chin and said 'you look so beautiful when you re angry'.. and that didn't fail him to get a smile from me.. that 'modus' is really effective.. ;b...

this sure is a useful way of cooling down someone's anger!:) once i heard it from my classmate in school, they were playing some prank games between friends and i wasn't enjoying it. so when they did a prank on me i got angery and said "i don't like such pranks" only to hear "wow you look so beautiful in anger." i just couldn't stop but smiling at this!;)
it's so clever and does the wonder!:)

Certain men used to say words like these to calm down their women. To some the women in blush seems more beautiful. I think it is because of his love to her, and his feeling only. that's all. thanks:)

LOL yeah, my hubby used to say that statements when I got angry too. Oh yeah it helps me to calm down. It is because instead of getting angry I felt that I am blushing.LOL And I love to hear some words like that to my hubby.
A kiss and a hug can help us calm down too. Well, if it is just a lil thing that annoys us, it can be of help. Basically, those acts may help us realize that you guys still love us as wife. :)
