If I won 300 million dollars, I think it would take me at least a day to get over the shock. Then I would tell only my parents and siblings and my best friend that I won. I don't think I would want my name disclosed in the media for every one to come from everywhere wanting money. I would first pay all my bills, then I would pay off all my family and best friend's bills, my boyfriends bills. I would put a lot in some kind of trust fund for my nephew in the future. I would give about 100 or so million to different local organizations for support. I would take some time off to travel and come back and maybe start a business and live on a fixed budget. What would you do with 300 million dollars?

I have thought of this a few times. I would first set up a trust and have a lawyer and an account to help keep track of my money. If anyone wanted money they would have to go to my lawyer to prove that they were owed any money from me. I would buy a house of my dreams or built it. I would also travel allot around the world to pace that I have only dreamed of going. Yes there are charities that would get money from me with out them knowing who it came from and it would be with conditions of things that they would have to match the money. I am a mason and some of the money would be for them, perhaps for the building funds and some for helping other people. My relatives would get gifts of money without them knowing who gave it (to help keep relatives from crawling out of the woodwork). I am already retired so I would not have to worry about my pension, with that amount I would not have to worry about it.

that is a very smart thing to do, not bad. I think i would like it if people didn't know where it was coming from either.

Ranitam 22, this will certainly require some deep thinking if it indeed ever happens to me.
But I think that I will definitely give 2/3 of it in a Charity organization founded by me that will pay for the university study of gifted but poor 3rd world children.
I think that the best way of helping poor countries is to invest in the study of their own children, wich later will help up with building up the economy of these countries.
As for my self and my family, and the friends that I have - all debts paid off, and whatever they need in order to be happy and fullfilled :) And I'd like to make a word-wide trip fo an year or maybe more, and in this time being busy with writing and making documentaries, as this has been a long time dream of mine.

Before I even turned in the ticket I would get the lawyer lined up to take care of the publisity to keep me out of the picture. Then take care of the taxes. Next I would figure out what I would need to live comfortably on the rest ofmy life. Then there's college funds for 9 grandkids. Would I pay off my families and friends debts? I'm not sure if I would because they might just end back in debt again. I might figure out a trust fund of some sort that would help them out of emergancis and realy tough spots because we learn and from our struggles. Then I would give the rest awy to those in need of helping to get on their feet.

Yes that would be important to take care of the taxes. I had also thought about if I paid my family's debt off would they just keep spending like they had won too? Possibly. I guess I would maybe set some ground rules or do something anonymously and they do with it what they do, maybe leave a envelope of money in their mailbox so they don't know who it is. But i guess it would be obvious when most of the family gets it. I don't know. That's a answer.

I would Pay all my bills and buy a huge house with alot of land. Then I would buy a new truck and car, some wheelers and dirt bikes..ect. I would put some in a collage fund for my boys. I would buy my parents a retirement house in florida. My dad wants to go there. Stuff like that. I wouldnt want to be in the media spotlight either. Just give me the cash and Im out of here.

I would save some too. If I but everything like house, car, land..I will own it and not have to pay on it for the rest of my life. I would still have a job even if I won that much. Its not enough to live on for the rest of your life and I wouldnt want to be broke in a few years.

I would definitely keep it a secret, revealing to only a very few people. With that much money your main concern would be security, so I wouldn't buy such a big house or such a fancy car. I would definitely give to my family especially my parents. I would definitely give to charity. Most of it I would invest so that I'll never have to work again.

I think that banks are allowed to keep up to $100,000 in an individuals account and where would you find a bank that pays 125 interest rates? Let me know so that i can put my money (what little that I do have) in there.

I don't know too much about percentage rates and all that stuff so I would definitely need to hire someone i trust to handle that issue. but it sounds like a really good idea.

I would produce big budget movie, and anticipate all those screen shots, what I thought about. The best part would be the gang war, which is common in India

The powerball is no longer available in my state. We have the Megamillion. I think that's what it is called I think that this week its over a 100 million. If I ever won a huge lotto, I would move first thing. My family and very close friends would be taken care. I would start my own charitable organization so I can help people who needs assistance of course I would give some to the church.

I have a list of people that I would take care of if I was ever lucky enough to win such a large sum of money. I would be sure to take care of the people that were my friends when I was broke and not the ones that suddenly decided to like me because I had money. With that kind of money a person could do a lot of good in this world.

After the initial shock of actually winning anything, I'd put 100 or so millions away in some kind of trust fund for the future. I'd build the house of my dreams with a wonderful garden and a stable, and get my parents a new house. I'd get a brand new car and one for my dad, and pay off all our bills and loans. I'd invite my best friends on a round the world trip. I'd donate quite a bit of money to environmental organizations, especially those who protect the rainforests, coral reefs and endangered animals. And quite probably I'd jump on the chance to do my dream job and start my own zoo.

I would get a lawyer first thing. It is hard to even try to think about what you would do with that much money. I would share with my family and friends. Donate some to charity. Hopefully live happy. They say money changes people. I will like the chance to see if it would change me.
