Does first Impression last? what do you think?

Meeting new people is one of the things I really like to do, making new friends and going out with them but sometimes meeting someone for the first gives me a clue to who the person really Is, I usually fall for person who gives me a cool Impression. Though I also meet other people who are really boring at first but really turns out to be cool in the end.. what do you think.. does first Impression last?

i think first impression is very important to get the basic idea about a person.
first impression realy matters.
its not that if you meet that person again, there can't be change in attitude, but i believe it has a long impression.

I think there is a lot to be said for the first impression but it is not everything as you have to take in to consideration that a person could be nervous or like me when I was young very shy, a lot of people thought I was a bit of a snob, once you get to know a person their inner personality comes to the surface and it can change your ideas on them.
