Can dogs sleep on the floor?

My dog sleeps on the floor. And every other dog I ever owned did the same. In the winter I get a blanket for my dog. And in the summer he loves the cool floor.

I saw a documentary yesterday about some foxes that were living in a urban area. They found out a rotten mattress. The male would stay on the mattress for all day long. The female went to the male and really begged for use it. He left her use the mattress and you could see how happy she was.
