coloring your dog..is it safe??

this morning i went into a pet salon and i saw a woman bring 2 dogs of her to buy some dog food.what made me surprise is the color of her dogs.she's coloring them in blue and pink! this is my 1st time to see dogs w/ unusual color and it surely unnatural,so the question is...is it safe to do that??i know some of us coloring our hair it just i never see in animal.how about if they lick their fur? do you know anything about this? thanks for your reply!

I don't think it is safe. Coloring do harm to people's health and, of course to your dog.

I don't think it is a good idea to color a dog. Because after all it contains chemical material and it may be harmful for the dogs. Perhaps you like your dog has a funny color, however, you will never know whether you dog appreciates to it or not.

Putting a chemical all over any creature is never a good idea. If people need that much to stand out, they should just do it to themselves.Poor dogs.

Hi brand4less! I really don't know for sure if that is safe. Never colored or painted our pet dogs, just imagine our pit bull having a pink color all over her body. haha.. Take care and have a nice day!

I prefer the animals to live in their own habitat. I am against domesticating any.

I remember hearing a while back that someone came out with some pet friendly hair color...but I don't remember where I heard it. I still wouldn't do it. I hardly ever color my own hair because its a pain..let alone a dog...plus I don't need a purple dog...
