I've stopped having migraine headaches!

For the past year, I was having migraines, sometimes as often as twice a week. They became overwhelming last winter, and because I was searching for a new doctor, I had to go to emergency an average of twice a month for injections to relieve the pain.
I read an article, I don't remember where or when, but it said to take magnesium, vitamin B2, and (since you shouldn't take one B vitamin alone) a stress-type B-complex. Sometimes you reach a point when you'll do ANYTHING, so I decided it was worth trying---
Its been 3 months now, and though it took about 3 weeks to kick in, I haven't had a headache! I have felt like one was coming a time or two, then realized I'd missed my supplements... after taking them, all traces are gone within a few hours!
I don't know if it will work for everyone, and you should talk to your doctor about medicines you are taking, but this has sure changed MY life for the better!!

Congratulations on getting rid of your migranes, first because of your determination, second because of your research, and third because you never gave up.
Right now I'm searching for ways to get rid of my back pain. Traction seems to be working for the pain in my lower back for longer and longer periods of time, but my neck and shoulders still seize-up after I'm on the computer for awhile. Take care and wish me luck.

I have lower back pain from 3 bad discs, and extreme pain in the middle of my back... I also have the neck and left-shoulder problem, possibly the after effect of my spinal fusion. I have taken nearly everything, but what works the best for mt is Ultram (Tramadol). Its great for nerve pain... it takes the edge off and gets me throught the day. I take 1 every 6 hrs with an over-the-counter Ibuprofen... it jump-starts it and increases the effectiveness.
I also can't sit for long... I get up and work on a paper project, or watch something on TV... just change positions frequently. And I continually readjust my chair, my monitor height... someday I'll find the perfect combination! LOL!

I have run into several skeptics on this matter, people who think I didn't really have migraines... I was diagnosed by 6 different doctors. And it was excruciating! But it has made me wonder why people will refuse to try this--- do they enjoy their headaches?? I was skeptical as well, but the thought of having another one was more than I could take!
Just please stick with it for at least 3 weeks... all these things take differently with different people. Its described as the three-cent cure, and compare that to even the over-the-counter meds... that didn't work, but I still kept trying them out of desperation! I hope so much that this helps everyone like it has helped me!!

I am delighted that you have manged to stop your migraine headaches. I know how miserable they are because my sister suffers from them. She can have one for a whole day with terrible sickness in addition to awful head pain. I will suggest that she tries taking magnesium and vitamin B2. I think she suffers from stress so vitamin B complex might be an excellent idea for her. Your health has improved and i am very happy for you. Well done for finding something that stopped you having migraine headaches.

The headaches came as a surprise to me, because I'd only ever had sinus headaches until then. Those were easy to take care of... but the 'new' ones, with all the nausea, sensitivities, and auras were so frightening! To find myself curled up in a ball and totally out of control was just not me... I've had plenty of injuries and surgeries, so I'm no wimp when it comes to pain!
I really hope that, by passing this on, I can give other sufferers a real chance at getting away from the ordeal of migraine. All my best wishes for your sister!

I was very skeptical, but after paying for all those emergency room visits, and knowing the headaches would just come back again, I was willing to try anything!! The only drawback is that B-2 is hard to find, so I order it online. Puritan is a very reliable dealer.

I think thats its more the combination of the B-2 and the magnesium thats doing the trick... and I also heard from a medical professional that you should never take just one B vitamin... they need to work in combination with each other.
But I have seen remarkable changes in peoples health, especially women, from just taking the 'Super' or 'Stress' B-complex.
And you can't overdose (unless you take them by the handful) because they're water soluble and wash out of your system... that is also the reason you need to take them--- because your body can't get enough from your food. They are vital for good health!
