Hiding? The devil isn't hiding at all. He's hard at work making people kill each other. He's in the minds of each and every one of us, telling us to lie, cheat, and steal. You just can't see him because he's sneaky like a ninja.

Most of what people do is pure humanity at work. We do blame too much on the devil, but that isn't to say that he doesn't incite SOME things. Wars, famine, destruction; humans do these things. The devil only has as much power as you give him; he can't actually make you do anything, just coax you into it. But the responsibility is still yours for falling for it. Half the time you don't even need to be coaxed; people can be pretty evil.

According to some religions, it is actually "God" who's responsible for famines and wars.

the devil does exist, hence the contradictions and the termoil while the heart and the true mind and the soul knows that there shouldnt be these turmoils. instead of looking out for the devil we must reach GOD'S standards for humans and achieve heaven, because we are not going to be here for ever.

Ever heard the term "hiding in plain sight"? The devil's biggest accomplishment is making people think he doesn't exist. He isn't hideous, nor is he utterly repulsive. On the contrary, he was called the son of the morning, Lucifer, master of the art of music. He embodied all things good and light and he still masquerades as such today. If you've ever had something "seem fair and feel foul" you know what I mean.
