Any exczema sufferers out there?

I have had exczema all of my life, some years are better than others. I get it really bad in the winter because it is cold and dry; especially on my legs. The only thing in addition to medication, which is hard to get the right perscription that helps me is going tanning...something with the light zapps all the bumps away. Does anyone have any good remedies they could offer?
