I think Saudi Arabia is the richest country becouse of their oil pools. Arabian sheiks earn a lot of money on selling oil to all countries around the world!!!

If richest in terms of monetary wealth and oil resources, it must be one of the Gulf country, Saudi Arabia.

I think the richest country in the world is Luxembourg. I've been there, and its such a luxurious yet beautiful country. It's a small country, and has a very small population. It's located in Europe near the Netherlands and Belgium. I'm pretty sure it has one of the highest (if not THE highest) per-capita incomes in the world.

Depends on what category. If it's by Gross Domestic Product, it would be United States of America. If it's by GNP (Gross National Product), it would be Luxembourg. GNP per capita is the most widely accepted index for a country's financial success. Also referred to as Gross National Income, this much publicized statistic represents the total amount of money that a country's consumers spend on all goods and services in a year, divided by that country's population. So, yeah, I think Luxembourg is the richest country. =)
