i am one of those people who uses voicemail in my celphone, cause i think it's really useful to have one so you won't miss any important call if you can't answer your phone right away. Voicemail is a good feature in a celphone, it is use to leave important messages to anyone you know especially when they are busy or not around to answer your call. I activated my voicemail for this purpose and i also customized my settings in greetings so i can leave a short message too for my callers that i will just get back to them as soon as possible, that they can just leave their name, phonenumber and brief message. It's really nice to have a voicemail. How many people here uses voicemail ? Do you think it is really useful?

It's really nice to have, people can leave me messages while I'm at work or in class. It's really nice.

i have voicemail activated for my account too. there are times when i am unable to answer my phone, so it gives people the option to leave their messages so that i could get back to them.

i activated my voice mail but its not efficient for me because i need to pay for extra charge to listen to it..sometimes i feel like deactivating it since i don't have important calls to come..and i have all the time to answer my phone now..i'm not that busy..

Voicemail is definitely a very useful feature but it involves money which i dont like and hence i dont use it. Not just me, many feel that voicemail is just waste of time and money. If a person is not able to reach you, he can contact you in any way. Why, there is sms which is infact more useful than voicemail. It involves money for both the caller as well as the receiver. So i prefer not using voicemail.

I do! I don't pickup my cell phone unless it is an urgent call so it goes to the voice mail. I don't pickup my cell while driving so it goes to the voice mail. I don't pickup my cell from 9pm to 8am so it goes to the voicemail. Bottom line is I use voicemail for 80% of my calls.

Voicemail is a wonderful tool on my cell phone because most of the calls are from my boyfriend's family asking for help or asking for money.
I see their numbers and I let voicemail pick up. :)

I find it very handy to have a telephone with voicemail on it so that I can check my messages during the course of the day. It isn't always convenient for me to take a call since I have two young children....or I may be preoccupied with doing errands/housework....so the voicemail feature allows me to get back to people at my leisure.
