i like both. but definitely turkey is lighter. you can make burgers, use it in your spaghetti sauce or u can make kebabs from it. you just have to use a lot of imaginations. actually there's a lot of recipes in the net that uses a lot of turkey. check it out. have a healthy eating.

I would buy ground turkey but my dh doesn't like it and would have a cow if I did....LOL didn't mean to be funny just then. I didn't notice a difference in taste in things like tacos or meals with seasonings. I never tried to make a turkey burger. We have some really good ground beef sales around here $1.99 lb so I just stock up on a ton of it and make it into smaller packages to freeze. Then when we run out we wait for the next sale. I stock up on chicken this way too.

Both ground beef and ground turkey are good. Ground beef is something that is common enough, so ground turkey would be extremely good for a change. Maybe some ground turkey burgers would be a good idea. That's the nice thing about ground meat; you can do all kinds of things with it.

The answer is no it doesn't taste as good, at least not on its own. If you are making something with it like hamburger helper or meat sauce for spaghetti you won't likely notice the difference, though I still prefer mix it with beef when I use it.
It is usually cheaper, but you have to read the contents and package carefully. Often times the cheap stuff has a higher fat content than ground beef, and turkey fat adds very little in the way of flavor to your final product. I found out the fat content only after years of using it thinking it was a great substitute for high fat ground beef.
