A lot of people have some very strong arguements on this issue. Honestly, according to the allegations that it reduces pain for diseases such as multiple sclerosis and various other terminal diseases maybe it should be. Doctors are quick to prescribe pain killers that are addctive anyways, so why not help people who truly need some relief. The effects can't be any worse than alcohol right? Maybe its a money issue? Medicine is very expensive for most, so maybe the government doesn't want to legalize it because of money What do you think?

It will always be misused by the odd few the same as anything is, if it is legalised it wont be so much of a tabboo and will end up boring.
I currently used it for pain relief and it really does help

If you need an antibiotic you take the pill not the material where Fleming discovered the penicilin - an mould bread...! You also can find the active principle of cannabis - the THC- tetrahydrocannabinol in pills - depending on you are living in USA or in England it´s called marinol or dianabol. So there is no need to take the plant - cannabis sativa,in the place of the pill...! The REAL reason people wants it free is because they want to use it like a "Troia horse" as a first step to a future liberalisation...
