New vehicle for my family

I've been thinking a lot lately about purchasing a newer minivan or SUV for my family. My husband and I currently have his 2000 Monte Carlo (which is finally paid off), and my 99 Dodge Intrepid (which we still owe money on). He just bought me the Intrepid about a year ago, but that was before I found out that we were having our 2nd child. Now that we have 2 kids, it just seems like a bigger vehicle would be easier for when we want to take the kids and maybe an extra passenger or 2 somewhere...that way we don't have to take 2 vehicles and waste the gas money, too. My husband and I test drove a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country Limited, and it was wonderful...the only down side was that it was a little overpriced and had a lot of miles on it (123,000 to be exact). My question is to anyone with a larger family, or who like to take friends and family places in the same vehicle, what vehicle did you choose or would you choose for your family?
