With the rising prices of everything, especially things like cigarettes, at what point do you say I just can't afford to smoke anymore? Are you at that point right now? When will you reach that point? or are you willing to pay the price of what cigarettes are going to?

I quit several years ago when they started eeking up to the $3 range. It just wasn't worth it any more.

Good for you, it is a nasty habit to have and with the rising prices I would hope others would stop too. Thanks for responding, it is truly appreciated.

I do not smoke and i have noticed the price is rising to much these days so smoking is not only injurious to helth but to the pocket too. I think we can save quite a lot if we can quit it asap. I am so glad reading other friend who quited this successfully.

Well hopefully your friend will be able to stick it out and not go back, for their health if anything.

I quit back when they were $1.00 a pack. I was preggers for my first child. For the life of me I cannot figure out how people afford to keep smoking. This is especially true for those on a fixed income. What do they give up in order to buy them?

I am a heavy smoker. Seriously addicted to them actually. I have smoked for 45 years now. I smoke 2 to 3 packs a day. Here in Minnesota I can get smokes for $3.50 a pack. So the cost isn't too bad. I doubt there is a set price before I stop. It's all in my head. I will quit when I am ready to quit. So on I go smoking away I reckon. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~
