I'm wondering if anyone else has a spouse as picky as mine about their clothing. My husband won't wear anything with checks, plaid, or stripes that are too wide. He pretty much wears only solid colors (black, blue, grey, khaki, and sometimes red.) I have given up on buying him any clothing. I have bought some really nice clothes for him, and they hang in the closet, never worn. They are either too long, too short, not the right color, etc. Do you buy clothes for your spouse? Or have you given up trying to find something that will please them?

Whenever I go to buy him something be it a pair of jeans or a shirt he's with me. I'm not going to buy him something that he's not going to like. When I have gone shopping for him when he wasn't with me I asked before hand what he wanted. I know the stuff he won't wear and so I won't buy it for him because it would be a waste of money.

I stopped buying mine clothes also. But if I tell him someplace has a sale or something, he will say, "why didn't you get me a shirt". I figure it doesn't matter if he wouldn't wear it anyhow.

When I was still married, my husband wore the things I bought for him, except shoes. He didn't like certain colors such as red, orange, or yellow. But overall, he was easy to please as far as that department go. I haven't buy men stuffs for over 5 years. I do purchase only aftershave and cologne for my son though.
